Orchid's POV:

As soon as those doors opened, the first person I saw was Great Mary. She looked startled but welcomed me with a smile as she let me into her home. With Grayson following me inside, Judy shifted back into her human form as she headed down the hall and avoided making eye contact with Grayson and me. It still must be awkward for her to see me and Grayson together, but she's been very kind to me lately...

"This is very unexpected, here have a seat. Let me get you something warm to drink, it's been getting cold lately. I'm sure it'll snow soon-"

"No, that's okay. I brought Orchid here so she could see Marissa."

Grayson pointed out as he took a seat next to me, rubbing both of my hands together I saw how lightly pink my fingertips were. It has been getting cold lately, but the cold temperatures no longer bother me as much...

"Oh, let me go wake her up. I think she's still sleeping, she just came back from working the night shift at the cafe. And right now I have Shawn tending the shop at the moment, I'll be leaving shortly in a bit to help him."

Mary explained as she left us alone in the living room, it's been over a month since I last saw anyone from Fang Claw. So I'm glad to see that great Mary is doing well, I wonder if Joanna is doing okay with her pregnancy?

"Honestly, that girl. I don't know why she insists on working. Sleeping, unbelievable? Great Mary is many centuries older than her but doesn't get that tired-"

"Grayson, why are you so set on giving Marissa a hard time? She's around my age and she's doing alot more than me, She goes to school, she's working and I'm sure she's doing her part in taking care of the house she's living in now."

"Being the head alpha's daughter, there are many eyes set on you. We were glad when we heard Erica was pregnant, but when we found out it was a girl. Many were disappointed, female wolves are weak by nature so they could never take control of the pack. But Marissa tried to be a stronger wolf on her own, but after meeting Grayson here...I think she realized how different male wolves were. So down the line, as the years passed, Marissa began to give up on the thought of being strong for Fang Claw."

Judy suddenly commented as she walked in on our conversation, taking a seat across us. I saw that she was fully dressed as she leaned herself against the chair. Yet her eyes were set on Grayson...

"It still no excuse for her bratty behavior, Judy... you and Joanna have shown just how strong female wolves can be. So I don't want to hear a petty excuse coming from her. She's had years to train and get stronger, but instead...she decided to go to school and live a life where her instincts aren't needed."

With Grayson and Judy talking back and forth, their voices were brought to silence once they heard faint footsteps coming from down the hall. My chest tightened immediately as I gripped Grayson's hand!

"What are you talking about that I have visitors-"

Marissa's tired tone came to a halt the second her eyes locked gaze with mine. The expression she had looked hurt as she refused to take another step once she noticed Gray next to me. She's probably still upset at him, in that case, she and I should talk alone...

"Walking towards her, she looked stunned as she was unaware of what to do the moment I embraced her...

"Well, I could see you two have alot of catching up to do, Orchid. Please come by my shop when you can, I finally finished making that scarf of yours. I have to get going, Grayson, I'm trusting you not to make another scene as you did back in my shop. So please, no fighting...Judy, make sure you keep an eye on them."
