Eventually, the three of you arrived in the Vulcan Kingdom and were met by Janice Rand who greeted Kirk with a warming hug.

"I can't believe you're finally here! How long are you planning on staying?" She asked.

"For a long while, I'm here to help train the military and from what I understand, they desperately need some human training." He chuckled, he then gave the blue-eyed blonde a soft kiss on the lips before breathing out. "My God, I have missed you."

"Alright, split it up, we still have some business to attend to. Rand, who's been in charge while the King and Queen are gone?" Sulu butted in.

"That would be Duke Stapak, is there something wrong, Hikaru?" She replied as she let go of her lover.

"No, nothing wrong, does he know of the princess' arrival?"

"Yes, he just couldn't greet you three due to a problem in one of the cities."

"Which one?" You questioned.

"Regar, it's not far from here."

"I am aware, so that might be a more religious thing then. As you know, we're on the edge of ShiKahr, the temple where Spock and I consummated our marriage, is between Shikahr and Regar. I know that the Duke has been working with Duke Javu on trying to allow the temple to be shared ownership instead of allowing Regar to be the only owner. It's a whole absurd trade that Javu's being difficult on even though it's so simple."

"How did you remember all that? I thought you were forgetful?" Sulu questioned, confused.

"Oh, I just listened to Spock ramble on it and then did a bit of research on the history of the temple and Regar. Not to mention that whenever the dukes do come to talk about it, they're always extremely sassy which only makes this more entertaining." You smirked.

"That's it?" Sulu furrowed his brows.

"Yes."

The coachman rolled his eyes, "Princess, I will never understand you."

"Let's just head inside, already." You laughed. Kirk smirked and led you inside the Vulcan castle where a tall slender elder Vulcan with pale skin and a long pointed face came out. You gave the Vulcan salute and he followed suit.

"Hello, princess. I assume you knew why I was unable to greet you?" He stated. His voice was deep but lighter than Spock's and had a slight gravel to it.

"Yes, I'm assuming you arrived earlier than planned as well."

"That is correct, would you like me to continue covering for the king and queen, or would you like to take over."

"I would prefer to keep you here to help, I'm afraid that I do not have nearly enough experience or knowledge to even consider taking over."

"I understand, princess, though I do wish to talk with you in private to give you a report. Some of which involves your personal servant." He requested, making you sigh, you knew you couldn't trust Kieran to be alone.

"Oh dear, let's do so now." You turned back to your friends, "I will see the rest of you soon." The duke then led you away and into a meeting room, and sat down. You sat opposite of him and fidgeted with your dress.

"As you know, I prefer to keep an order on how things work, almost all the servants were compliant with this as they were Vulcan, but your human servant, Ms. Gwenyth-"

"I'm afraid I don't know a human servant by that name."

"She calls herself Kieran, but her birth name is Gwenyth."

"My apologies but I would prefer you say Mx. Kieran when referring to them." You interrupted, making him glare at you.

"And why is that?" He hissed, anxiety formed in your chest from your fear of confrontation. Despite your fears, you managed to keep a calm demeanor and stoic face as your heart raced.

"They are nonbinary-"

"Identify as nonbinary, I checked her file, she is female." He corrected.

"Sir, that is an invasion of privacy."

"It is my duty as a ruler to keep track of my servants, and since she is so close to you, I considered it necessary to understand her." He admitted, you kept your anger under control and gave a heavy sigh.

"Let's get back on topic, as princess, I am demanding you use their preferred name and pronouns and refer to them as such. This is a matter of respect in this case. Now, what did they do?"

"They completely undermined my authority, they didn't understand any of the tasks I gave them and refused to answer to me when I called them Gwenyth, after a day of misdemeanor I sent them to their quarters. They are still there and I figured I would inform you for when you want to discuss this with them." The duke informed with a monotone voice. Your eyebrows furrowed as you bit back your tongue.

"They didn't respond because you didn't use their correct name, and as for tasks, their main job is helping me get prepared, stay informed, prevent me from becoming too anxious and getting a panic or anxiety attack, and help me stay focused."

"So they are your emotional support servant? That seems like a useless profession."

"It's not useless for me, as you go through files, I am almost certain you have gone through mine so you know of my condition."

"That is correct,"

"Good, their job is to be my personal head servant and help me throughout the day, they do know how to clean and organize many things. May I ask what their main task was?"

"Preparing the horses for my trip."

"Ah, that's the mistake, they know almost nothing about horses, only the basic of the basics. They know how to read and write, but they don't know how to care for and ride a horse."

"I see, you should teach them, it is important knowledge."

"I'm afraid they have a fear of heights and are uncomfortable with the idea of learning how. I do not wish to force them to do something that would make them too uncomfortable. Is there anything else you wish to report?"

"Yes, Regar is, once again, refusing to accept the shared ownership agreement and will only agree with the blessing of the king and queen themselves."

"Well, then he shall have to wait, at least we have something easy to bargain with this time around."

"Yes, other than those two things, the time without you has been rather uneventful."

"Thank you, Stapak, is that all?"

"Yes, princess."

"Then you are dismissed, please return to your duties." You waved him off. He nodded and got up to leave. You gained quite the headache just from his arguments. You made your way to Kieran's room and opened it to find them throwing a pillow across the room. "Well, now I know that you're angry."

"Of course I'm fucking pissed! Did you see how that ass of a duke treated me?" They yelled.

"Alright, first of all, calm down, we both know how Vulcan's react to cursing. Second, I just talked with him and I made sure that he will no longer be dead-naming you and using the wrong pronouns."

"Thank you but I'm still going to be cross towards him."

"As you should be, he should have been respectful towards you in the first place and give you tasks that you can actually complete."

"Exactly! Please tell me I'm allowed out." They sighed.

"Naturally, how about we go to the gardens for a walk." You offered with a smile. The teenager gave a broad smile and bolted to your side while rambling on how the duke also tried to get them to wash out the dye in their hair.
