I was three drinks in. And I could feel myself getting flirty. Rob was too close to me, and I was finding it hard to keep my hands off him. His leg was beside mine. His eyes were also lingering. My inhibitions were freeing with every drop of alcohol. I stared at his big muscular body. Wanting him like never before. But we weren't alone.

It was New Year's, and Ed had gotten his way, inviting us all over for a reunion of sorts from the summer Get-a-way weekend at his place. Allie and I had taken a cab, our kids at her parents for the night having their own little New Year's. Rob and Sue were there as well, also having cabbed it. And Nicole and Alex were also there, Alex as boring and unattractive as ever.

By the time the evening was well under way, the women had stayed up in the kitchen, Ed bringing the boys down to his bar in the finished basement of his house. Ed was plying us all with liquor, but he seemed to be making sure I was getting my share, standing beside me the most and being very handsy with me. He looked good, fitter than ever, and I could tell he was feeling frisky too.

But since Rob now knew about the experiences I had had with Ed, my protective police officer was making sure this bald headed firefighter wasn't going to get anywhere near me. And he eyed Ed suspiciously.

Ed was sporting a slim fitting long sleeved grey shirt that outlined his chest and arms nicely making him look every bit firefighter calendar material. He had on jeans that didn't hide his ample bulge either, and only made his ass look great. And that bald head of his just made him look hotter, for a man in his 50s that is. Normally I would be all over him. But when I looked at Rob who was a bit taller, much bulkier and beefier, and even more attractive at nearly 57, I knew who I wanted. And in six months we would finally be together as a couple. Out and proud at last. But first we had to get there.

Rob came up behind me at the bar and placed a large heavy hand on my shoulder blades. "Easy there little buddy. Don't drink too much too early. You won't make it to midnight!" His hand squeezed my shoulder in a loving way, and I could smell his cologne. I looked back at him, his beard trimmed, spots of grey throughout. His brown eyes digging into me with a sweet look that said he was looking out for me. His cheeks were a bit flushed, the alcohol getting to him a bit too. Thankfully, he was wearing a short sleeve shirt that kept him cool but showcased his massive arms. As my eyes glanced own at his biceps and big forearms, all I wanted was to have him hug me tight.

I gave him a smile, feeling light-headed and flirty. "It's okay officer. I'm good."

Rob leaned over me as Ed delivered a drink to Alex on the couch on the other side of the room. "I know you're good. But you're getting a little too frisky." He giggled, taking my hand off his leg. "See. Be careful." He whispered to me.

I leaned into him and whispered back. "Why be careful. I want you."

Rob sighed in quietly. "I think Ed wants you, so look out."

"Beat him up for me." I giggled, looking over my shoulder to see Ed and Alex chatting.

Rob went to the other side of the bar to stand across from me. "I will if he touches you." He gave a slight grin, and looked over at Ed. "I could take him. Easily."

I nodded. "You could. You are way bigger." I winked at Rob. "And I mean WAY bigger."

Rob couldn't help but smile at me. "Yeah well you just remember that." He handed me a glass of water. "And drink this in between will ya before you start sucking my cock in front of everyone."

I let out a laugh that caused Ed and Alex to look over at us. "I probably would too." I took the water from him and leaned back, knowing he was right. I looked at him, realizing that this would be the last New Year's I would be married. And this coming year, Rob and I would be together. In public. Out.
