(3rd person's pov) :

The heavy rain from earlier had finally ceased as the setting sun casts a beautiful shade of red and orange clouds through the sky.

Dazai and Emily are walking.

With no hesitation in their footsteps, they walk briskly, as though their heels are going to slice through the carpet.

The place they are walking towards is the Mafia's main Headquarters in the top most floor of the building.

Avoiding every men in the building and ignoring everyone's gazes, those two Young Executives walks in complete anger in their veins.

There's always two or more operatives with them as their escorts but this time they ride up the transparent glass elevator alone, pressing the button for the top floor.

The elevator door opens and they walk forward.

Two tall men in black suits and sunglasses standing infront of the main office wordlessly block Dazai and Emily's way. Both were wielding automatic machine guns.

"Stand down!" Dazai warned.

He doesn't even look at their faces, nor Emily. But the two guards who were three times larger in size, flinched at the two young teenage Executive's words.

Not waiting for the guards to respond, Dazai and Emily already opened the door of the office, entering in a rough impolite and disrespectful manner.

Seated on the other end of the main office is the Port-Mafia's Boss, Mori Ougai; who was enjoying watching the beautiful view of sunset outside through the large transparent glass windows with a royal set of cup on the table beside him.

"Ah, if it isn't Dazai and Emily!~ How rare of you to come to the office together. Let me prepare some coffee for you both. I recently received a expensive brand from Northern Europe and with some popular desserts that I ordered from New York, it's taste is simply divine------"

"Boss," Emily interrupts him. "Do you know why we are here?"

Mori does not reply to her question, he is merely smiling slightly as he looks at the two of them.

After a long while, he speaks, "Offcourse Emily darling! ..is there an urgent business?"

"Yes, we do!" Dazai replies.

"I promise no matter what it is, I will approve it." Ougai says but his tone was not a promising one. After saying this, he slightly smiles, "Whatever it is, if you two are the ones to think, then there shouldn't be anything wrong. Afterall, you two have always made a great contribution to me and the Port-Mafia, and I hope today will be no different. Right?"

Dazai and Emily share glances.
As though having been embarassed, they fall silent. Because it doesn't matter if it's the two merciless Executives like Dazai Osamu or Emily Evans; speaking to Mori Ougai is like walking on the thin tips of knives. With a slight misstep, one can lose their arms and legs.

Dazai thinks for a moment, and speaks, "Then, do you agree to mobilise the Mafia's Executive Level Gifted Squad to attack Mimic's Headquarters to save Odasaku?"

"Very well, Permission granted!" Ougai nods. "But first, may I ask why the two of you are doing this?"

"Right now, Odasaku is currently in the enemy organisation's headquarters, fighting  against the Mimic all alone." Dazai says emotionless when Emily continues with the same tone, "As an emergency measures, we already sent our operatives to offer assistance, but the forces are simply not sufficient. If this goes on any further, a valuable ability user like Odasaku will die."

"But he is a junior member." Ougai tilts his head. "Offcourse, he is an important comrade, I agree. But is there a need to mobilise all the Executives to the frontlines for support----"

"There is," Dazai interrupts his sentence. "Offcourse there is."

Mori was silent and was looking at the two teens.

It was an eloquent silence. The three of them understand each other's mentality, as well as the reasons for the Boss to oppose them.

"Dazai! Emily!" Ougai calls breaking the wordless battle of tongues. "I want to ask something to the two of you."

"I can understand your plan, but I am afraid Oda doesn't wish for anyone's help. What are your views on this?" Mori asked.

The two teenagers wants to reply, but they cannot find the words.

"Listen Dazai and Emily dear! ..As the Boss, I am at the top of the organisation, but I am also a slave to the entire organisation. For the survival of the Port-Mafia, I must make whatever sacrifices are necessary. Do you both understand what I am trying to say?" Mori said as he draws out a black envelop in his hand.

Dazai and Emily's eyes widened. They suddenly gasped staring at the large, black, premium envelop with a small bronze pattern on the edges. It seems to be carrying something with no thickness inside.

"That envelope is-----" Emily stutters while Dazai still kept looking at it with disbelief.

Their gazes came back to normal as they look at their feet.

"So that's how it is." Dazai says with a forcefully squeezed tone.  "We get it now.." Emily said. The two teenager's faces were pale as white.

Both of them turn their backs to Ougai, "We will be taking our leave.." Emily said calmly.

"Where do you think you are going?" Mori asked.

"To save Odasaku.." Dazai replies as they walk to the doors of the main office. Immediately two of Mori's operatives aimed their guns at their heads.

The young teens stopped.
They let out a small sigh turning to look at Mori again. Another two operative that were guarding the door comes and targets them with their rifles, total four of them.

Automatic rifles, machine guns pointed right at Emily and Dazai's head from behind. Despite this, those two aren't surprised. They simply look at Ougai who maintains his posture from before, smiling at the teenagers.

The two of them look at the muzzles pointed at them with a calm expression. The operatives slightly tremble at the teen's gaze but because of the Boss's orders he didn't moved his gun from their head.

"The coffee isn't ready, Dazai! Emily!" Ougai says, "Alright, Sit."

The young Executives did not move at Mori's words. And two men in black suits goes around the front pressing the automatic rifle gun against Dazai and Emily's forehead.

"Odasaku is waiting for us---" Dazai says but Ougai cut him off in a dark voice, "Sit!"

Dazai and Emily glances at the muzzle still pointed at their heads, following which, they stepped forward standing right infront of Ougai.

"We have been thinking.." Emily starts speaking quietly, "Between the Mafia, Mimic and the Special Ability Department, who is the one controlling the conflict between these three groups? ..When Dazai and I realised that Ango was a member of the Special Ability Department, we reached to a conclusion. That conclusion was that, this is the Special Ability Department's plan. Their motive was to let the Mafia and the Mimic, two illegal organisations causing the government a headache, to kill each other off. If they were lucky, they would both perish together - We thought this was a play book written by the Special Ability Department, that this was the real reason behind this war.."

"But we were wrong." Dazai darkly says and he paused after these words as both of them look at Ougai.

Ougai smiles, shrugging his shoulders, "I am listening.."

"The person who planned all these was you, Boss. Using the illegal organisation Mimic as a threat, you pulled the Special Ability Department onto the negotiation table. And the pawn in the center of this plan was Ango." Dazai continues.

"Boss, the reason you sent Ango to infiltrate Mimic's ranks was not to obtain information on Mimic. Because you already knew that Ango was a spy from the Special Ability Department from the very beginning. Am I right?" Dazai asked with half lidded eyes.
