(3rd person's pov):
*flashback*
(Years ago, in the Port-Mafia's base.)"Stand on your feet!!" Emily ordered.
(Painful Coughs)
...Akutagawa struggled standing up; as he coughed alot of blood. The whole ground and walls were stained with blood everywhere. Some stains were old and dry. And a very few were fresh.
This was the Mafia's huge basement.
"Your ability is useless if you don't know how to use it!!" Emily says darkly glaring down at the black cloaked guy;
"Offence, Defence, Slashing, Burning, everything!!" She growls, "You should be able to do everything if you want to call yourself my apprentice!"
"Understand?"
Her cold eyes were enough to give chills. She was such a scary woman; that she wouldn't even hesitate to kill her subordinates. Her eyes says it all.
Akutagawa flinches. At the other corner of the basement, Akutagawa's little sister, Gin was standing, terrified at the Mafia's top executive's wrath.
"M-ma'am--" Another voice interrupts; and Emily gazes at the doorway through the corner of her eyes. Two of the operatives of the Mafia stood there respectfully with their arms behind.
"S-sorry for the the disturbance but.. I came here to report." One of the operative spoke up; Emily quitely waits for him to continue. But her cold hearted eyes were somehow stopping the operative from speaking any further. He was afraid.
"T-that..smuggling deal, it didn't work out," He managed to speak, "That gang denied to----"
"Are you saying that you failed?" Emily replies glaring at the operative; who just flinched.
"W-well-- we---" He stutters.
Before he could speak anything, Emily pierced a ice spike through his heart. It happened in an instant. The operative coughs up blood. He dies slowly, as he groans in pain constantly.
"I hate failures!" She scoffs. But she is still calm and cold.
....
"If they didn't agree, then just go and kill those low life smugglers!" She warned, "Bring me the money!"
"Y-yes ma'am--" The other operative said bowing down; He was horrified as well but he didn't react or else it will make the female Executive more angry.
"Also, clean that mess," She says, as she took out the spike from the operative's chest.
"Y-yes---"
(With that the operative left with the body of the other black suit man.)
....
"Now then," Emily turns to look at Akutagawa crawling on the ground, bruised.
"Where were we?"
.....
"My defence.. won't work in time..No matter how much I try..it just.." Akutagawa trails off painfully holding his arms and stomach, "I-it.. just impossible for me to hold it for a long period of time-----"
"Ohh really?" The woman snapped, glaring at him, "Did you just see the blade I ran through that operative's chest?"
"He was standing almost 30 feet away and my blade reached him. But your pathetic ability didn't even reach me when I was standing at a distance of 10 feet away from you!"
