(3rd person's pov) :

"Several days, without food or without any shelter I kept roaming in the streets of America. Soon, I came to know that the Guild has risen up to a higher status in the whole United States as well. News channels, Daily Times, and all the reporters in the T.V., the only thing that echoed in every corners of North America was that 'Francis Fitzgerald' is the top most richest business man after the great Allen Evans who recently died in a bomb blast incident. They covered the real incident showing it as a Bombing, and the case was closed there."

Emily said and silence surrounds her living room when Dazai quitely kept listening to her every word staring at his coffee with a serious look on his face.

......

"How did you came to Japan?" Dazai asked breaking the silence.

"Smuggling ships." Emily replied, "Guild was a organization that raised up to such high financial status in over night. And under them, many smuggling ships were transporting illegal machine guns and weapons to other countries. I took the chance to hide in one of the ship. I didn't know which ship was being transported to which country. And the moment, I reached.. I realised that I was in Japan."

"And the rest of the story.. you know it.." Emily said.

"Yeah, Mori found you and brought you to the Port-Mafia." Dazai says.

"Yes, I was lying on the streets like a stray dog in the slums." Emily said drinking the last sip of her coffee.

.....

"Hey! ..By the way, what about your story? You have never told anyone.." Emily asked looking at Dazai who was still staring down.

"My story?" Dazai looks at her, "It's not that special.."

"Then, why are you so desperate to die?" She calmly asked with a smile closing her eyes.

"Simply because I lose faith in Humanity you can say?" Dazai replies, "My past life is somewhat similiar to your story as well. The only difference is, your father was a rich business man and my father was a wealthy politician."

Emily perked up at this as she stares at him, "Politician?"

"Yes, Akio Osamu" Dazai replies drinking his cup of coffee.

"W-wait! ..that man who died of some sort of a disease right?" Emily asked being surprised.

"Yeah, he died with a heart disease. And due to his degrading health, he always wanted one of us to take over his seat as the politician. We were three siblings including my eldest brother, my elder sister and I am the one youngest." Dazai said.

"I never knew you were his son. He was considered as one of the top politicians of Japan's government. Although, he died at a young age." Emily said thoughtfully.

"That's because he abandoned me. My father left me in the slums to die just because I was simply not capable of taking such huge responsibilities. My elder brother, he was suited for this, but his goal was something else; so he refused my father and went to abroad for studies."

"Just like you, I didn't talk to people much when I was younger. The only thing I heard in my family was to choose the heir of the family. And I was kind of a weird person who have no interest in money or those stupid positions."

"That's why he used to beat me until I am in the brink of death. They said, I have no right or no reason to live if I am not capable of making my own decisions. They even sent me to mental institution even if I was not ill, they just tortured me there. Life has been suffocating. I was never accepted anywhere. I got no friends, no acknowledgement. So I got irritated by this so called Human Life and it's Existence."
