Plot: Sawako Kuronuma is the perfect heroine... for a horror movie. With her jet-black hair, sinister smile and silent demeanor, she's often mistaken for the haunting movie character Sadako. But behind her scary facade is a very misunderstood teenager. Too shy to fit in, all she wants to do is make some friends. But when a popular boy in class befriends her, she's sure to make more than just that--she's about to make some enemies too!
My Opinion: The anime was really good and I am also enjoying the manga. I love the plot to it and I love how slowly Sawako begins to befriend a lot of people while at the same time she makes enemies. I love how she is shy but yet she can be very honest as well and the drawings in the anime and manga are so funny and cute!
Favorite Character: Sawako! She is so sweet, funny, shy, and very cute! I find her funny in her own little way and love how she can be very honest. The friendship between her and her friends and Kazehaya are so sweet! You can't help but feel so happy for Sawako when she finally makes friends!
Favorite Couple: SawakoXKazehaya! Though I admit here that their relationship is very slow paced, I loved it! *SPOILER!* I don't exactly know when but it does take a while (in the manga) for the two to finally end up together and also it takes them forever to kiss >_< I have yet to finish the anime but also their relationship was slow paced as well... But they do make a nice couple :)
The anime was really good and the manga is also really good as well. The music and songs are nice and I do love the opening song! The art is alright, it is not as good as I usually prefer for an anime art to be but also it is not so bad where it is just a goofy kind of art. I love the relationship between Kazehaya and Sawako! They are so adorable together!
If you are looking for an anime or manga where the two main couple have a very slow paced relationship (like it takes forever for them to finally confess their feelings to each other) I would suggest you try out this series. I admit it gets a little annoying when everytime you expect them to kiss or confess to each other and they don't. I seriously wanted to slap the two upside their heads -__- but it is good. If you love a manga or anime where it looks like they are about to make a step closer and become boyfriend and girlfriend but don't just yet so it leaves you thinking maybe they will soon, this manga and anime might be the one for you. I have warned you though, their relationship is slow paced. I have seen the live action movie too and honestly, I think if you are or become a huge Kimi ni Todoke fan then go ahead and watch it. For me, I found the live action just a little disappointing and wouldn't watch it a second time, who knows, you might like it more than I did...
