Favorite Romantic Anime and Manga

Suki-tte Ii na yo (Anime)

Plot: Mei Tachibana has spent her 16 years without a boyfriend or friends. One day, she injures the most popular boy in school, Yamato Kurosawa, due to a misunderstanding. For some reason though, it seems that he takes a liking to her and one-sidedly claims that they're friends. Furthermore, he not only protects Mei from a stalker, but does so with a kiss…?!!

My Opinion: It is very cute and amazing!!! I had tried reading the manga before but I hardly paid attention to the genre (all I saw was Romance Shoujo immediately I started to read it) but I later realized it was ecchi and left it. I was a little unsure trying out this but I did anyways and I'm glad! It wasn't super inappropriate like how the manga was and so I was glad about that because I'm not into ecchi manga or anime. The story between Yamato and Mei is absolutely cute and I just absolutely fell in love with the two! I'm just sad it has 13 episodes T_T I really wish there was more than just 13 >_< But I came to find out there will be a live action film and so I'm looking forward to the live action ^_^ I was also just a little disappointed in the ending but it was mainly because I was hoping the ending would go something along the lines were they get the happy ending and fast forward a few years but I didn't exactly get that kind of ending. Oh well though, it was still good and worth watching ^_^

Favorite Character: Aiko Muto!!!! I know, not often do you choose some side character with appearance every now and then until later then they might appear often and I know she has a foul attitude but she's my favorite anyways. I would hate to spoil why but I'm sure you will find out later when you watch it ^_^ At first I didn't like her and Mei was my orignal favorite but when Mei wasn't being tue with her feelings and making things even more complicated than they needed to be, Aiko became the top favorite. Yamato would've also became my top favorite but when he wasn't being honest with Mei, I became upset with him and along with Mei, he lost the first place as well.

Favorite Couple: Have a wild guess.... YES! Mei and Yamato are my top favorite couple! They did have their problems but in every romantic shojo, the romance usually has a complicated road for the couple and what couple doesn't have at least one problem? Anyways, they were just so adorable together and awwww!!! I LOVED how Yamato treated Mei (except when he wasn't being honest with her). I wish they could have continued the series because I want more Yamato and Mei. I just didn't get enough of them >_< Just a few more... if only they added just some more with Mei and Yamato.

I had started reading the manga but lost interest after I realized it was an ecchi manga. I don't really care for ecchi manga and so I just left it and later... like a year later of after trying the manga, I found the anime and I couldn't exactly remember I didn't like the manga and so I thought I tried this out... again. I am glad I gave it a try because the anime wasn't bad at all. The manga I'm sure is good but I just don't care for ecchi manga or anime. I'm not into those things, I'm more into the romance and their story together. The beginning episodes, I was worried it would get too inappropriate but it never really did get too bad. I was glad for that and I just totally adored the romance between Mei and Yamato. Other than the fact that Yamato wasn't being honest with Mei at a point, I think he still deserves an Awesome Boyfriend Award because his love for Mei was so adorable. He truly cared for her. This anime nearly made me cry a few times and I squealed so many times with all the romantic parts. I just seriously wish there were more episodes >_< I want more episodes T_T

If you're looking for a complicated romance that has a few bumps in the road but yet very sweet, I suggest trying out this one. I think it is worth giving it a try ^_^
