Natsu's POV:

How can she be a princess, she is nothing like the human princesses I have heard of before. All the human princesses I have heard of in my history classes were vial and stuck up, while she is amazing and down to earth I like all the humans I've met before. I thought to my self as I held the stab wound on my stomach that Lucy fixed up for me when she saved my life.

I decided to keep watching the palace so I retracted my large wings, tail, horns, and scales. now I looked just like a human besides my pointy teeth, but those aren't very noticeable.

I crept around the castle following the smell of strawberry and vanilla which was now two floors above me so I climbed the ledges and Lucy seemed to be climbing the stairs because her smell kept going up until she was a the top floor. I pecked through the window to see her walk behind a changing screen and the baby blue dress she was wearing was thrown across the room.
I know it's not good to watch a girl change her clothing but I couldn't resist. I could see anything behind the screen but it still felt wrong so I ducked down until I was sure she was done.

When I looked up again she was sitting at her desk writing something. Now in a bright magenta dress covered in roses, her long blonde hair was tied up in a bun and had pearls around her head. The door opened and the pink haired maid walked in.

She promptly said "Princess, your father has requested your presence." Lucy got up from her seat and said "Thank you Virgo I will be down in a moment." The maid then said, "Princess, is it punishment time." Lucy face palmed and said, "no I will not punish you." and left the room with the maid.

I hoped up on the ledge and walked in the room. It smelled just like her and was all clean and organized expected the desk she was writing at. papers scattered everywhere all with different things written on them like she is writing a novel, but the page on the top was different. the ink still wet from her writing on it a few moments earlier, I picked it up and it said,
"Dear Mom,
I have had the most wild few days. I was stuck in a cave during a storm where I met a wonderful man named Natsu, and saved his life."
I could tell she wasn't finished with it, but I was so happy.

She thinks I'm wonderful.

I put the letter down and jumped out the window my wings spreading and I'm soaring straight to the dragon empire.

Lucy's POV:

I can't stop thinking about Natsu, is he ok has he got home yet, I don't know. it won't do me any good to worry over a person I just met. He is a strong solider in our army, I'm sure he will be fine.

After thinking about it the entire trip up to the tower(a.k.a. my room) I slid behind my changing screen and take off my tattered baby blue dress that helps me look more like a normal citizen and not the princess of the kingdom gone to war for so long we forgot the reason why we started to fight. I changed into my royally beautiful magenta dress and pulled my hair up into a bun and place a string of pearls around my head. Once again I am royal.

I sat down at my cluttered desk covered with pages of the novel I'm writing. I pulled a blank piece of paper and began to write a letter to my mother.

My mother Layla has been dead for seven years on the seventh day of the seventh month. but I write letters to her more like a diary because if i keep a real diary it will be read by my father the king, more like a tyrant. only concerned about money and increasing the size of the quite beautiful nation we rule.

I only got half way through the letter when Virgo came in saying my father has requested my presence. Just like him sending a servant to get me when he want to see me. I put down my pen and went with Virgo.
