Lucy's POV:

Exhaustion and cold was all I felt. The hard stone floor of my bedroom felt like ice as I lay on it. The cold metal chain blocking my magic strapped tightly around my ankle. My dress torn, bloody, and covered in dirt as I lay immobile on the floor, yet I was content. My celestial friends were back where they belonged and Yokino had escaped.

My only regret at the moment was that I wasn't able to escape myself. I would have gone to see Natsu one last time and asked him to go on an adventure with me, just like the ones I always read about in books.

My limp body had settled in the spot I was sure it would rest forever; then I felt warmth. Not only warmth but warmth I had felt so many times in the past couple of weeks. Strong hands had hoisted me off to ground into safe place.

If I was at peace waiting for death on the cold damp floor of my tower then the brilliant warmth of the friends arms made me want to live; to see the never ending wonder that every new day brings. To be loved the way I have never been loved before. His voice trembled as he said my name trying to wake me from the sleep that the exhaustion had brought upon me.

Just as I was about to open my eyes his hand pushed my golden locks away from my face and placed his lips upon mine. Instantly the feeling of fireworks filled my stomach as his dry but soft lip lay kiss after kiss on my plump pink lips. Time had seemed to stop altogether as I pulled my hand through his soft cherry blossom hair. He poked his tongue at the entrance to my mouth indicating he wanted; no that he needed entry. I let him in and our tongues battled for dominance before he pulled away.

He looked at me as if he was on the verge of tears, a mixture of sadness and happiness filled his face and he pulled me into warm embrace. His heat was so overwhelming that some would have to leave the room in order to breath, but I had never breathed air as clear in all my life. Natsu then picked me up off cold floor where he had found me, never letting his grip loosen from my delicate frame until he lay me on my soft mattress. Lust filled his eyes, but it was soon replace by an even stronger emotion. Love.

He stripped me of my tattered dress, trying to get a better look at his prize. Or was I more than that to him. As I lay on top of my bed only in my undergarments, my new bruises clearly visible. He lay next to me only to hold me like he never wanted to let go. As it felt he would try to protect me forever.

His lips kissed the bare skin if my shoulder as he muttered two words,"May I?"

That action touched me in a way I hadn't been touched in a long  time, I nod my head and whisper in his ear,"Yes," and with that one word he sunk his fangs into the my skin, where my shoulder meets my neck. Filling me with his venom.

It hurt but it was a good kind of pain, that soon melted into a calming feeling, all my aches and pains faded as we moved together in a rhythmic dance of the sheets.

At that moment I knew what love was meant to be.
