The incident

Rya ran through the hallway barely
missing, bumping into people as she
raced to get to class. She got there in
the nick of time, the bell rang as she
opened the door; she quickly sat
down and put her head on the desk
"I wish I had gotten more sleep last
night" she whispered under her breath,
as the exam came out she picked up
her pencil and looked at the sheet, and
found she knew nothing "I wonder if
Cami is doing better than I am?..."

Cami casually walked through the halls
,hands full of stuff, to get to class,
disregarding the fact that she had a test
today, so she wouldn't get stressed
and forget everything. As she walked
into class with her pencil in hand,
and a stack of paper tucked in her
arm, she sat down next to Rya and
put her stuff down as she grabbed
the paper for the exam.

Rya sulked in her chair and looked
over to the popular table ,where the
people who were considered cool, sat.
"Of course they were already done
with their test." She slowly turned
her head over to Cami "psst." She
noticed that her friend didn't pay
attention to her, so she slid her
hand under her ponytail and flicked
it just like how Natasha did.

As Cami was writing her exam she
felt someone disrupt her; Cami looked
in Rya's direction with an annoyed
expression knowing just what she
wanted. "What do you want Rya?"
She asked in a whispered voice.

"To fuck Jason obviously" she said
sarcastically, "now help me with
answer 2 please" Rya responded.

She huffs "fine I'll help."
"For question 2 just multiply 7 by
26, then subtract 139, after that
you'll have the answer." "Does that
help?" Cami asked annoyed.

"Yes! Thank you!" She quickly
scribbled it down. "Anywayssss,
what you doing after school today?"
Rya whispered.

"Nothing really, probably just going
to mess around with the "popular"
kids, maybe try and embarrass
them or whatever." Cami whispered
back, with a happy tone in her voice.

"Sweeeeet mind if I join you?"
Rya asked with an excited tone
in her voice.

"Sure, if you want," Cami responded smiling.

"hell yea..." -she was cut off by a loud bang.

As all the students turn their heads
to face the direction towards we're
the sound came from, they hear a
voice from the speakers which was
an all too familiar sound to the
students due to them having to
practice this on occasion in case
of a real situation.

Rya grabbed Cami's hand and
rushed to the corner. "You think
this is the real deal?" She asked,
concern in her voice as it was barely
a whisper?

"I'm sure it's just another practice;
but in case it is real we should be
cautious" she states as she lets go
of Rya's hand to sit on the floor with
their classmates. As she suddenly
hears some of the kids start crying.

Rya slowly went over to the door
to close it, when a fast moving
object cut her arm, she quickly
closed the door and held her arm
in pain, she went over to Cami
"I don't think this is a drill! I don't
think this is a DRILL!" she
whispered slowly, raising her voice
as she panicked.

Cami starts to panic a bit, but tries
to stay composed so she doesn't
scare Rya or her classmates more.
"it's ok I'm sure we will be fine, just
don't panic or make too much noise"
she whispers to Rya

"Sh*t that stings" she whimpered.
She hugged Cami tightly. "I hope
this is over soon," she said as screams
erupted from the hallway next to them.

Cami hugs Rye back "ya I hope so too."
suddenly a loud banging sound was
heard from across the classroom on
the doorway. Most of the kids were
screaming at this point.

The noise was unbearable and holes
were being ripped through the door
as glass shattered from the window,
everyone in the class was screaming
and starting to move. Rya held on to
Cami tighter.

The only thing Cami could do right now
was hold on to Rya, as someone was
breaking into the classroom, she felt
hopeless, but she didn't want to project
that onto others.

Suddenly the door burst open; the
screaming got even louder. A tall
man stood there in all black and fired
at everyone that dared to move.

Rya locked eyes with the strange man
with a gun, she didn't dare move,
suddenly a shot fired right behind
her and Cami slumped down. A rush
of panic coerced through Rya as she
went to catch Cami suddenly the gun
fired again and there was a sharp pain
coming from her abdomen. She fell
down on top of Cami who was already
growing cold as blood started pooling
underneath them. Rya slowly moved
her hand to her abdomen and they
came away red her vision was growing
blurry and her body started feeling cold.
The last thing she heard before passing
out was the screams of her remaining
classmates.
