As brief as the past weeks have been, we're at my last stop.
Hungary. The Hungaroring.

Lando falls quiet when he notices me walk into the room.
'Hey.' I say quietly as I come to a stop next to him.
We're standing in the back of the McLaren garage.

'Amelia-'
'You'll do good, I'm sure of it.'

I clench my jaw as I cut him off.
Don't bring up me leaving, please.
Not yet.

'Amelia, join me tonight. We're all going out.'
I breath leaves my chest as I meet his expecting eyes.
'I.... yeah, sure.' He turns his head away and looks down, small smile on his lips.

It's bittersweet, but it all we have at the moment.

The crash at turn one leaves me standing in the pit lane.
Nothing I can do with so many people being out already.
Lando comes to s stop next to me, and I watch as they move the car into the garage.
His damage didn't look to bad, but what do I know.

The impact on Charles looks the worst, so I make my way to the Ferrari garage.
'Hey. Are you alright?' He huffs and nods stiffly, emotions running high.
'Head, shoulders.' He moves them around and lets me squeeze.
I check his eyes and for any soreness, but he's okay.

After having checked on who I could and needed to, I get to the McLaren garage again.
'Lando.' He turns at me calling his name.
He lets out a sigh and opens his arms for a hug.
So I move into the space between them and wrap my arms around his chest.
'I'm sorry, that must have sucked.' I say.

'That's one way of putting it.'

He lets me go and sits down on the table in the small warm up room.
'Are you okay though? You're not hurt?'
He shakes his head and moves to put the watch back onto his wrist.
'That's good then.'

We fall quiet.
The sound of the cars far away, a voice booming over speakers for the people here.

'You'll leave tonight?'
The air grows heavy.
'After the party.'

'Ah...'
Lando looks down, his hair a mess.
I chuckle lightly and move to fix it.
Once done Lando looks my way.

'Summer break is coming up.' He says.
'Oh yeah. You going somewhere?'
He nods his head 'Yeah, Greece.'
'That's nice. Show me some pics once you get back.'

There's a knock on the door.
'Miss Harris, Sainz wants to talk.'
'I'll be right out!' I say back loudly.

'That's me.' I say as I slip off of the table.
'You're not going anywhere during break?' Lando asks.
'I'll be working the entire summer.'

Lando nods. 'Alright.'
'I'll see you around.'

With that I open the door and slip out of the room,
Heading on my way to the Ferrari motorhome.
