You'd been sitting at the table with Clary and Allison for hours. They'd arranged to meet in the morning but it was well past lunch time now. You could smell the food from the library cafe down the other end of the building. It was making your stomach rumble.

"Are we done?" You complained. Clary tutted while Allison remained focused on her research.

"We still haven't figured out what is wrong with you. We can't just give up." Clary said quickly. She glanced at Allison for some support but she was frowning at her laptop.

"You're seeing what exactly?" Allison asked, clearly not hearing anything either of you had been saying.

"I see dead people." You said nonchalantly. With a groan you lent your head on your arms and sighed.

"What kind of dead people?" She asked and you looked up at her, frowning.

"You know... the dead kind? What other kind of dead people are there?" You asked, now fully invested and watching her as she shrugged.

"Zombies, ghosts, other spirits... banshees apparently." She answered.

"Well we can all see Lydia so.. Not banshees... we can all see Lydia right?" You muttered. Allison shot you a look and Clary leant forwards, flicking through the book she'd been reading.

"So it's some kind of spirit... maybe you're clairvoyant?" Clary suggested. You crinkle your nose and shake your head.

"We tried that, but it didn't work." You answered. She frowned and shrugged.

"Well I have no idea and I have to wait for people to get back from Idris before I can get any help... Allison?" She said with a reluctant sigh.

"I have a few more things I can look into but... maybe Cora was right about you staying in for Halloween. She and Derek seemed pretty concerned and we do have spirits popping up all over." Allison suggested as she snapped her laptop shut. You agreed and they finally decided to take a break and get something to eat and drink.
