Gonzalo's POV

*

Immediately I stepped into my room, I slammed the door and dashed straight into my bathroom to wash my face and hands.

My eyes narrowed at the mirror when I heard the sudden click of my door.

Did she finally come to see me?

It had been four days and she still didn't talk to me. Yes, I also didn't speak to her but she should've approached me because she was the one at fault.

Hope blossomed in my chest and I found myself exiting the bathroom as different emotions swirled in me. Excitement, anxiousness, a twinge of anger, frustration, satisfaction. But mostly, excitement.

I stepped back into my room to see it was Romeo that had entered the room and a scowl morphed onto my face.

"Boss."

"Leave me. I want to be alone right now." I growled.

"I will, I just want to say something." He didn't budge.

My gaze turned frosty as I stared at him. He was the cause of all these.

He was doing some things to make Rosa like him and I was still hoping she hadn't fallen for it.

He wasn't like me, and I wished for once I could be normal. Romeo was normal. He never had weird thoughts or did things that could make people condemn him and complain that he was going overboard.

He would laugh with Rosa sometimes, make jokes, chat often and even play games with her.

My glare intensified.

I didn't give him a response and instead started taking off my clothes. He approached me and just stood beside me, not doing anything.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

"She's confused. She doesn't know how to act around you because she's afraid of your reaction. Can you be more patient with her?" He asked me.

"Did she tell you all these?" I asked, taking off my shoes, leaving my socks on. I loved batman and superman. Plainly put, I loved super heroes. It reminded me of my childhood when I used to wish I could also save the people in my city like Batman saved and protected the people of Gotham City.

And after the dark time I had with Shakur in the underworld, the urge to become more like Batman or Superman became stronger. It was like we shared a bond.

Of course I couldn't get a cape and fly around at night or in the daytime but I could help people in the way I was chanced. That alone was enough for me.

"I observed them." Romeo replied me.

"Oh. Mr Observation. I should transfer you to some other country then, maybe you'd have more work on your hands. The company in Philippines is still struggling to stand on its own, so maybe you should join them. Or The one in Illinois, they need someone more efficient and since it's been barely two years, get ready to go there for-"

The sound of throat clearing halted my speech.

"Leave us, Romeo." Her soft voice commanded and we both faced the door. I didn't even hear her come in. Romeo left without a word and my anger intensified as I watched him leave without waiting for my confirmation.

Was she his boss? Why was he taking orders from her?

I huffed and focused on my buttons again, undoing them more hurriedly than before. From my sideview, I could sense she was looking around but I acted as if I couldn't see her.
