Rosa's POV

*

Gonzalo would be bringing Greta and Leo to see me today and I couldn't be happier!

It had been three days since I woke up and I was totally fed up of seeing just the doctor, nurses and Gonzalo. Even Romeo hasn't been here since I got admitted so my guess was that he'd been busy with office matters since Gonzalo hadn't left the hospital.

We've not gone back to normal since the discussion we had days ago but things had gotten a bit better between us.

For three days now, he would get me a bouquet of roses with an apology card, expressing his love for me and apologizing for what he did.

"Your husband is so charming. Look how he guards you himself despite the bodyguards at the entrance!" Margaret, the nurse said.

After three days of being with her, I'd successfully warmed up to her and she would occasionally tell me about her five year old daughter, Lily.

A random thought suddenly struck me while Maggie kept gushing over the bouquet.

"Wait, how did you know he was my husband? He didn't mention that when I was brought in."

"Oh! Well, Dr. Drake referred to you as his girlfriend while making some observations and your husband refuted that fact, saying you were his wife and should be referred to as that. It was so hot..." Her eyes widened and she cleared her throat, blushing a little. "I mean, he looked so cold and arrogant but still so cool."

"He has his ways." I commented and stared into the sky through the window.

"Do you want to sit up a bit? You've not done that today."

"Yes please."

She helped me sit up and I sighed, feeling refreshed. I should be discharged from here soon, though according to what I've heard I'll still get regular checkups from the doctor.

While checking up on me this morning after Gonzalo left, he jokingly said Gonzalo ordered him to do so, but we both knew Gonzalo wouldn't joke with anything that concerned me.

I ate bread and tea and we chatted a bit.

Suddenly, I could hear commotion outside at the hallway.

Margaret frowned, her bushy brows pulling into two uneven lines as she got out of the chair and gave me a look.

"This is a VIP section, and things are always under control. Who could be causing a commotion?"

I shrugged. "I don't know. Let's check." I told her but she shook her head.

"That's not a good idea. your husband would kill me if anything happened to you Rosa, besides you're a patient and are just recovering. I'll just take a peek."

I nodded grudgingly and she slowly crept towards the door, taking a peek.

All the way from the bed, I heard her gasp and then she shut the door, her hands flying up to cover her mouth.

My eyes widened and I slowly got off the bed, wondering what she saw.

Immediately Margaret realized this, she waved her hands and met me halfway, pulling me gently back to the bed.

"What did you see?"

"A slight commotion but some of your bodyguards are handling it. Our security guards are also there. There were two people on the ground and one was being choked when I peeped."

"People?" I couldn't comprehend it.

Then our heads snapped to the door at the sound of a knock.

Margaret looked at me skeptically, shrugging to say she had no idea who was knocking.
