Rosa's POV
*
The ride back home was awfully quiet.
I felt several emotions run through me. Did I do the right thing? I usually disciplined my siblings, well Leo in particular but it had never been this serious.
Also, the scoldings were always with me giving him light punishments like grounding him from playing his games and such but it had never gotten this far.
"It's not your fault, stop blaming yourself. And also, hand her over. You're squeezing the poor girl already." Gonzalo grabbed Greta from me.
When she slowly opened her eyes, they widened immediately she realized who was carrying her but Gonzalo put his index finger on his lips and cooed.
Patting her stomach, she slowly fell back to sleep.
I stared at him in bewilderment. I just taught him how to carry her so why was he already so perfect at it?
"Stop worrying so much." He gave me a dimpled smile for whatever reason but my mood instantly went sour at his words.
"I feel bad." I confessed.
"Things like this happen. It was a reflex action, he'll come around. I can tell you've never hit him before, which is a good thing."
I shook my head and heard him chuckle, making me shoot him a glare.
"I'll smack you silly." I threatened despite the small smile tugging at the side of my lips.
"Also, it shows how good of a mother you'll be. You know when to use words and you know when to coax. We just have to tame that anger that comes with you being a redhead, don't we?"
"Stop playing or I'll really smack you this time." I threatened. Was he making fun of me?
Instead of doing as I said, he moved closer to me so his breath was caressing my ear as he spoke. "I mean it Rosa. You'll make a good mom."
I pressed my lips together so his words wouldn't have an effect on me, especially with the way he said it. So affectionately.
"You don't even know if I want to be a mom."
"You don't?"
"I don't know. Motherhood isn't a walk in the park anyway. Things will happen, sometimes you'll have to be the bad guy to your children and then you'll be made to look horrible when you tell them to skip desserts or when you forbid them from having a sleepover sometimes or when you forbid them from-"
"Breathe, baby." He whispered in my face and I halted my words, falling into the depths of his eyes as they held me captive in their intoxicating gaze.
I blinked and took a gulp.
"Breathe Rosa."
I took slow breaths in, slowly closing my eyes when he pecked my cheek, and then slowly peppered kisses on my lips and chin.
I felt giddy inside, my whole body was literally floating and it was a good thing I was sitting right now because if not, I definitely would've fallen flat on my behind from how I was floating on cloud nine.
"Whatever you want to do is fine." He stated softly.
"Okay." I murmured in a my mesmerized state.
Why was he murmuring the words so lazily and looking so yummy right now?
