Gonzalo's POV
*
Romeo tracked Gustavo's location though it took him some extra twenty minutes than the time I'd given him. I also had to call April, the assassin for assistance because I needed all the resources I could pull and also because she was so damn good at what she did.
She couldn't catch my brother the last time, which I'd told her to in exchange for something she really wanted.
It wasn't that April didn't find out Gustavo's location, but the whole thing had ended up being a decoy. April had ended up assassinating someone else whom Gustavo had made to look exactly like himself while he was hiding away like a chicken.
And what April hated the most was for a victim to slip of her palms so now that she got to know I was hot on his tail for the kidnap of my wife, she was all too eager to have him for herself and finish the job.
And one thing known in the underworld was that so many men were afraid of April. What could I say, she was a psycho and even more brutal than men in assassination! Naturally Gustavo was afraid of her so the same brother of mine that dared to show himself to Rosa at that party the other night didn't have the balls to do the same with April.
He would die before he could even put a word out.
"Just leave everything related to Gustavo to me and focus on saving your wife." April stated in a matter of fact tone.
"When do you get here?" I asked her while Romeo was giving my men the formation of Gustavo's hideout, pointing at the mansion in the map. Gustavo was actually hiding in plain sight. I'd thought he would be in one of his dungeons but instead, he was in his old penthouse at the local part of town!
Had I known he was there, I would've had him brought in before he could even think of daring to kidnap my Rosa!
"I'll meet you guys there. Don't worry about me and focus on getting your wife." April assured me, snapping my attention back to her.
"You're right, that's better. Make sure there are no mistakes this time and you actually get the right person."
"Fine fine, stop lecturing me." She yawned lazily and I frowned a little. "If it wasn't that your so-called brother had to make someone go under the knife just to look exactly like him and successfully fool me, do you think he'll still be alive right now?" She asked coldly.
"You're right. Just try not to make any mistakes and also, take down as much as you can from the shadows."
"Alright, you're now talking like a father because you've been married for so long and you're probably the one taking care of your wife's siblings. Old man. Let's talk later."
She ended the call and I chuckled darkly, moving my eyes to the map on the table. I was not in the mood for jokes. Who knew what they were going to do with my Rosa? I needed to hasten things up.
I clapped my hands twice. "Gather round everyone."
All my men instantly left all what they were doing to take their formations in front of me.
"Romeo, you'll lead team B to his secret room at the back. Team Alpha, you'll secure the premises. Jim and Jack, you'll stay with Rosa when we get her. No matter what happens or who's injured, make sure you stick to Rosa and stay alive while also keeping her alive. Timmy, you'll stay with Leo at the safe spot and make sure he doesn't leave your sight no matter what. If not...I won't take it easy with you if anything happens to him this time. You'll have to pay with your life."
"Noted sir!" They all chorused and proceeded to conclude all they were sorting out for a few seconds.
"And you all, don't forget what you've been taught since the beginning. No matter what, try your best to stay alive and be each other's keeper. The enemy is out there, so know who and exactly what you're fighting." I ordered, looking around.
