Jorja Walker POV

Brynn is too good to me and my daughter. She practically spoils Luna like she is her own. Not to mention taking the extra time to be more of a parent than Da'jonte is. All of the things she did are over the top, but are very much appreciated. I wouldn't take her for granted because that's wrong to do. We ate dinner that Brynn made for us. I mean she is a total package. She has ambitions, can cook, is very family oriented and wants the best for her family. She pampers all of us like queens.

"Poppa." Luna said.

"What's up princess?" Brynn asked.

"How come your eyes change colors?" Luna asked her.

"Well I have something that not too many people have. I have a split personality that comes out whenever she wants or I want. Her name is Hermes, which is my middle name." Brynn explained.

"Split personality?" Luna looked confused at that.

"I'll show you." Her eyes changed colors to Hermes eyes.

"Hello there little one." Hermes said.

"Cool." Luna probably thought it was amazing to see her eyes change colors. "So your Hermes?"

"That's correct, Rin thinks Brynn is boring, but I'm more fun."

"Only because Poppa wears suits all the time." Korin chimed in.

"But didn't Poppa take you to a drag strip in a lambo?" Hermes said. Korin stayed quiet because it did happen.

"Isn't that dangerous?" I asked.

"Yes, a lot of things are dangerous, but she was protected." Hermes told me. "Maybe one day your mom would let me take you to the drag strip. Don't worry she will be strapped in tightly with a helmet on for her safety."

I shook my head knowing that she will do it anyway. How protective they are of Luna, she wouldn't let anything happen that way. Her eyes changed back to Brynn's eyes color.

"Still boring." Korin said.

"Yeah sure." Brynn looked at her phone seeing it's ten o'clock at night. "Bedtime girls. Wash your face and brush your teeth."

"Booooo!" Korin said.

Nothing eventful happened and we didn't have sex because the red sea wanted to flow. It's coming to an end in the next few days, and more than likely they will be spending a few days over one of the guys' houses. Brynn wrapped her arms around me as we laid in bed. Out of all my relationships this is by far the best ever. She doesn't treat Luna differently and goes above and beyond with me.

"Thank you." I said to her.

"No problem, but what for?" Brynn asked.

"For accepting me and my daughter. You have done so much for us even though you didn't have too. You literally changed our lives all the way around, I haven't seen Luna be this happy before." I told her.

"All it took was Korin smacking a boy in the face with a lunch tray to do that. In all seriousness, there are some things I changed or are more cautious of my actions around you all. I can't express how amazing it feels so see Korin just take up liking you."

"Look at Luna, she is trying to be a clone to you. At first she was my little princess, now she is being a little hard ass." I feel as if she wishes Brynn was her other parent.

"Just wait." Brynn laughed. " Hermes will definitely take her to get custom suits, and probably put her in some boxing lessons."

"I hope not."

"But I am." Hermes said before they went to sleep.

I shook my head, cuddling up to her. My baby is going to be a mini her, but she is in good hands.

Brynn Rawlings POV

The horrible sound of my phone ringing at this ungodly hour, instantly pissed me off. This better be an emergency or else.

"What." I said to whoever is calling.

"We need to talk, open your front door." I heard June's voice on the other end. She hung up, making me groan knowing that I will have to get up. Jorja is still sleeping like a baby while I have to do business, I'm definitely jealous. I carefully got out of bed and just put on a robe on since it's just June. Plus, its fucking early in the damn morning.

-

"Okay, what is it that's so important?" I closed the door to my office.

"You're going to Amsterdam then to Rome. You need to talk to Tomas Archibald then make your presence known back in Rome. You've been quiet for a while. Remember, you are a Jabami, and people still need to be put in their place. Keep things in order. You are the necessary evil versus people who just want power for the wrong reasons." June told me.

"You know how my life is Junie. Where's Rose?" I asked, rubbing my eyes with my right hand. I can sense that this will be something I don't truly want to do.

"Gathering information on the Gazar's. Miguel is still in prison, but is able to throw his weight around. So far it's a few police chiefs, officers, and prison guards on his payroll in Cuba." Fuck, things are starting to get bad. June handed me a large envelope, which I opened to see pictures, names, and other documents in it.

We both heard the pin pad sounds being pressed to come into my office and Jorja came in sleepily. June smiled at this interaction between Jorja and I. She came over to me and sat in my lap like a little child, burying her head in my neck.

"Come to bed." I heard her say.

"I will, let me just handle some business right now." I told her, rubbing her back.

"One month." June said.

"Woah, what?" That caught me off guard. "June, come on."

"One month Brynn. You know damn well things are getting out of hand. Cuba was doing fine until Miguel's son, Nico is trying to change things by force. The people are getting tired, and things are getting out of control. It might be two months because of this." She said,

"When do I leave?" I asked. This is fucking ridiculous.

"In a week Brynn. Please don't argue over this, I know it's a short time for now. I'm sorry to say this, but playing house is making things somewhat bad. It's not helping at all."

"June, my relationship has absolutely nothing to do with that. It's only been, what, two months. Things shouldn't be this bad."

"But it is Brynn. The Marino's are moving pretty quickly, and the base in Italy just hasn't kept up to par. People are fucking up, and they all fear you. There are practically two wars ahead and you settle the score."

"Okay okay. The guys know?"

"Yes. I'll take this as my leave." June left, leaving me and Jorja in my office. I'm pretty sure she is now wide awake, and wants to talk about this.
