How My Obssession Came About - sToRy TiMe

So back in grade seven, (I'm in grade eight now) my teacher introduced the outsiders.
She handed out the book onto our desks and told us to look through it and right down any questions we have.
I looked through the book and saw the word "soc". My immediate reaction was; "what the fuck is sock. It's capitalized so it must be something important."
Another kid had the same reaction and asked my teacher what a sock was. She explained that it was the rival gang of rich kids, blah, blah, blah.
The next thing I saw was "Two-Bit" and the question I wrote down on my paper was, "what or who is a Two-Bit?" I soon learned he was a character.
Come time when my teacher showed us the cast, she put up this picture:

And she said exactly this, and I quote.

One kid: "OH MY GAWD!!! THAT'S THE KARATE KID!!!"

Now, this was around the time where I really started getting obsessed with the 80s. (Fun fact, the first outsiders fan fic I read was "The Outsiders: And The Girl From The Future" and I read it before I even finished reading the original book.) 

Anyways, back to the point, I was sitting in the back of the class and I couldn't see the board too well so I'm sitting there like "where the fuck is he?!?!"

So then my teacher started to introduce the cast.

"So over here, we have Patrick Swayze *points to Patrick* and this is Matt Dillion *points to Matt* over here is Rob Lowe *points to Rob* this is Emilio Estevez *points to Emilio* (we had also just watched the mighty ducks in class so people were freaking out over that) this is Tom Cruise *points to Tom* and these two down here, I don't remember their names *pointing to Tommy and Ralph*"

And people were freaking out like "Mrs. you don't know who the Karate Kid is?!?" And I'm like, where the fuck is he?!?!

Anyways, as we read the book, we had to do different activities, so I'll put pics of that here.

These were my questions from the begging (at the top) the rest is just writing what a setting is and what a character is etc.
