Chapter 24: Sunki

Niki couldn't focus on dancing or anything. He was the whole morning in the dance practice room but it was like he wasn't. His mind was occupated with someone and he just couldn't get him out of his mind.

He groaned as his body slammed against the wall and he slowly slid down. He placed his knees against the chest and lowered down his head as drops of sweat were dripping down from his forehead. His back and shirt were soaked in sweat.

He was annoyed as he roughly wiped the sweat from his forehead and pushed back his hair. The only sound was his deep and heavy breathing in the whole empty practice room. He refused to go out with his friends because the thoughts on his mind felt heavy and he wanted to shake them off with dancing - the thing he likes the most. But as it seems for now, it didn't work.

There was one certain boy on his mind.

Kim Sunoo.

As it dumb as it seems, that boy made him feel the things he never felt with anyone. He never really thought about his sexuality but because of him, he decided to explore it.

The first thing he did while trying to figure out if he actually could like guys, was to really try liking a male person and maybe flirt with them. It is dumb and Niki only realized it now but he didn't know any better.

His first target was Yang Jungwon.

He himself doesn't know why he choose him.

Maybe because he was the easy target and he didn't have anyone in practicular so he wouldn't tell anyone, whatever he tries to do with him. Whenever it is flirting or asking for a relationship.

He honestly thought Jungwon was good-looking person and maybe that was another reason why he decided to try liking him but he wasn't like Sunoo.

Whenever he saw Sunoo in halls, smiling from ear to ear, it made his stomach turn, but in a pleasing way. That were the butterflies his friends were telling him that they had whenever they were with a person they like. Niki never really understood it but when Sunoo appeared he finally got it. With Jungwon he couldn't feel those things and he almost regrets it now for getting in his love life since he was guessing Jungwon and Heeseung had something between them and he didn't want to be a reason for ruining it, whatever it was.

He sighed as his hand was on his heart - beating whenever he thought about Sunoo. It was ridiculous at this point and Niki didn't even understand why at first place Sunoo was now the whole weekend asking him if he wants to hang out. Of course, as you may guess, Niki declined it saying how busy he is with school work while he's just sitting at the practice room the whole day doing completely nothing.

To be honest, Niki really wanted to hang out with the older male but he just knew his heart wouldn't take it.

He took his phone that was laying beside him and read the last message Sunoo sent him and the message where he rejected his request of hanging out.

He closed his eyes and sighed. He badly hoped Sunoo would ask him again. That one message is all he wanted at that moment.

Almost like his prayers were blessed he heard a sound of the message notification from his phone. Before opening his eyes or even checking who texted him, he prayed last time it was him.

As soon as he opened his eyes or even checked the message, he regreted it and sighed in annoyance.

It was Jay and his message.
