Chapter 37.

When we got out of the tub, we spent the rest of the time together. Every day I was sick, Q was there to take care of me and Cooper. I think he forgot about his cats too, I don't even remember if he went home once. Hailey visited once but that was all.

It was Friday and I was finally strong and healthy! I hope that Q didn't get sick because today is our dinner date and I would feel so bad if I was the reason it got ruined. Q of course was home now since I'm not sick anymore but I kind of missed him. It was 1 pm and I decided to pick out what to wear, but I couldn't. I don't even know what looks good on me any more, I spent the whole time in sweats that dresses would seem weird on me.

"Clothing help. What do I wear for a date?" I texted Hailey.

"DO I HEAR A FASHION EMERGENCY!? BE THERE IN 10!"

I should've known if I texted her, she would come over. Girl really knows how to dress, so I went downstairs and sat on the couch and waited. When Hailey says be there in 10 she doesn't lie. I even counted so I could yell at her that it wasn't 10 minutes but it was!

"What's the problem?" she asked smiling

"Hello to you too. I'm going on a date with Q tonight and I don't know what to wear."

"Alright do you have an idea of the type of clothing or do you need help with that too?"

"I want to wear a dress and some heels."

"Alright let's go upstairs and if there's nothing there. There's something called dress shopping." She smiled widely. You've got to love her.

I followed her upstairs and before I knew it my bed was covered with hundreds of dresses. She even went into my moms closet to see if there was anything I could borrow. I really missed my parents, I can't believe they're really gone. It's so strange.

"Zoey!" I heard from my bedroom

"Coming." I ran in to find a bunch of little black dresses, some cinderella dress, my moms old long red dress, and more sparkly dresses.

"Okay so I was thinking we alter the long red dress and add some straps..." she said

"Hailey!" I interrupted

"I think I like this one." I went over and grabbed this white laced dress with black ruffles underneath.

"Oh that's good too." She said

"How about you find the shoes and I'll just find a jacket to go over."

"Fine but you better like them!"

"I promise I will."

I went into my closet and grabbed this black jacket and some tights. I couldn't wait for tonight, finally a peaceful evening for us. Hailey came up to me with velvet black heels with a strap.

"Please say this goes." she said closing her eyes

"It does! It's perfect thank you so much!" I gave her a tight hug.

"I'm going to go change right now!"

"Wait! When's the date?"

"At 6."

"It's not even 2 yet! I don't want you accidentally spilling anything on yourself before the date. Get ready at 4."

"I'm not clumsy, I've got this."

"Zoey. Yes you are, this hard work is not gonna just go down the drain. Let's think about the hair."

"I thought maybe just brush it and let it down."
