Chapter 11.

I looked at him up and down. Q was beautiful and certainly hasn't changed. I want everything to go back to what they were before, seeing him reminded me of the good times.

"Zoey?" He looked confused

"Uh...hi." I said, Joe ran up to Q.

"Hey Zoey! Good you're here!"

"You invited her?" asked Q

"Yea I hope that's ok. Please come in."

I walked in but this house felt strange to me now. Everything was in the past and that was that. I went inside awkwardly standing in the room. I noticed Murr and Sal were there too.

"Hey Zoey!" Sal ran up to me and hugged me, Murr did the same.

"Aha hey guys."

"How have you been?"

"Good, you?"

"Same old. How was college?" asked Murr

"Fun and educational. Glad it's over with though."

Q and Joe joined us near the couch. It was so great talking to these guys, I missed this and I felt tears filling up but I batted my eyes a couple times which made them go away.

"Brian missed you so much! He wouldn't stop talking about you." Blurted out Sal

"Sal! stop it." said Q

"Oh." I said

"Yeah and that was until..." Murr stopped talking and glanced toward the kitchen.

"Until?" I asked

A brown haired girl came out of the kitchen. She was wearing a beautiful dark green cozy dress and her hair was curled. She smiled at me and went over to Q. She kissed him on the cheek.... SHE KISSED HIM!!?? My mouth fell open. Not literally but inside it seemed like it. Who the hell was this girl?

"Hi I'm Marley!" She reached out her hand.

"Zoey." I grabbed it and shook it.

"Nice to meet you. Are you a friend of there's?"

"Mhm. And you are?"

"Oh Brian's girlfriend."

I looked at Q and saw that he was staring at me. He looked away as soon as he saw me looking at him.

-----------------Q'S POV----------------

As soon as Zoey walked into the house I couldn't stop staring. She looked beautiful, but why would she come here? Why would Joe invite her without asking me? Marley came out and I saw the look on Zoey's face drop. Did she come here to get back with me? I hope not... I mean it would be amazing, I missed her like crazy but I'm with Marley.

"You're his girlfriend?" asked Zoey

"Yeah he's amazing." I smiled

"When did you two get together?"

"About a couple months ago, anyway I have to get going. See ya love." Marley kissed me on the lips.

"Bye babe." I waved to her.

---------------ZOEY'S POV------------

This wasn't what I was expecting. Hailey was wrong, he didn't want me back! He has a fucking girlfriend.

"I hope I wasn't a bother but I should really get home." I said

"Why?" Asked Joe

"I... I'm just busy today with Christmas shopping and stuff." I lied

"Oh are you getting something for your parents?" asked Sal

I looked down. I did get something for my mom that she never opened... And never will.

"What's the matter?" asked Murr

"Uhm... Well my parents kind of.. Passed away. My mom this month, my dad 2 or 3 months ago."

"Oh my god Zoey. I'm so sorry." said Sal

Sal and Murr both hugged me and I was kind of disappointed that Q didn't say a word. Did he hate me or something?

"Zoey I'm sorry. This is so hard on you I bet. Especially since it just recently happened." said Murr

"Yeah... So I'm gonna head home. Nice seeing you guys again."

I started to walk out when a hand grabbed my shoulder.

"Zoey? Can we talk for a minute?" It was Q

"Sure."

We walked outside and I glanced at Joe and I saw that his smiled widened as soon asked Q asked me that question.

"I hope you're not mad at me."

"No why would I be?" I asked

"I didn't call or text or anything and we left on an awkward place. I'm sorry for everything and your parents."

"It's all in the past now. What can we do?"

"Glad you aren't upset and I'm so happy you came by today."

"Really? I didn't think you would be. Also I had no idea about Marley."

"Yeah she's not talked about a lot here actually. The guys keep quiet. Ever since you left they felt awkward around me."

"Oh I'm sure that Marley might spice something up. She seems real nice."

"Yeah."

"I'm gonna head home now. See ya."

"Bye."

I walked home and I felt eyes staring at me. I didn't want to turn around. As I was walking I heard someone walk outside, I think it was Joe. The conversation I heard was surprising.

"I'm glad you brought her." said Q, I'm guessing.

"You are?"

"Yeah. I had no idea how much I still missed her. She definitely hates me though.

"Aw! I doubt she does! She's too sweet."

"Yeah and Marley can't know she's my ex because she will go and hurt Zoey. After everything Zoey's been through I don't want anything to harm her in any way. She means to much to everyone."

"Hurt her? Why would Marley do that?"

"Marley isn't exactly nice to people who get in her way. Also I don't want her to know about what happened in my life. I want my soul mate to know everything and she just isn't quite it."

"Dude. You were all over her before Zoey showed up. Are you having a change of feelings? Do you like Zoey!? This is huge!"

"Shh! She's right there! I don't know ok. All I know is that I want a girlfriend and I don't know who that will be."

"You lover man. Let's go inside."

I blushed at the words and immediately rushed to tell Hailey. It seems like a lot of talking for a walk across the street for me to hear but that's only because I walked slow and because I stopped. I stopped to "talk" on my phone for a minute. I couldn't resist. I had to know what they were going to say. Brian Quinn misses me. He really does! He doesn't want me to get hurt and I can't believe he said that. This was the best day ever!
