Chapter 20.

"Oh my god! Is it mine?" I asked

"Yup, all yours." He put it in my lap.

"Oh damn! Dog hair everywhere!" said Sal

"Shut up that's adorable!" said Joe

"Thank you so much Q!" I gave him a hug

"Your friend Hailey decided to help me out with your gift. I assume she gave you the collar?"

"Yes oh my god. It's right here!" I took it out of my bag and put it on. I'm surprised she knew I wanted to name him Cooper.

"I'm so glad you like him."

"You kidding? I love him!"

I played with him a bit and then let him run around the house. I need to potty train him so Sal doesn't get mad about him doing his business in his house. So I put a bunch of newspaper on the ground and made a little circle so he wouldn't be too messy. I was playing with him while the guys chated. I heard everything they were saying.

"Brian this dog is gonna make a mess here. You couldn't have given it to her tomorrow?" asked Sal

"Sorry man but she's so happy look at her!" he said

"You really do love her don't you?" asked Murr

"I do. I wish we could go out again. Maybe after we could get married."

"Now don't get too ahead of yourself. She's barely even your girl right now." said Joe

"But she will be. I can't lose her again."

I went back to the guys once I knew it was safe. I don't want Q to think that I overheard, even though I did.

"So how's Cooper?" asked Murf

"He's so perfect. I want to cry, he's all I have now." I said

"You still have us!" said Sal

"That's true."

Sal brought out the donuts and hot chocolate , we ate while watching Home Alone. I sat next to Joe and Q. I didn't really decided on sitting there but the guys kinda made me. I could feel Q moving his hand closer to mine, it made my heart beat so fast that I froze. He grabbed it QUIXKLY and then looked at me, I looked back at him and smiled he smiled back as I looked down at our hands.

"Movie's over!!!" Sal yelled as he jumped out of his seat. Q let go and I could tell I was red.

"You know guys I should really be getting home. I mean I probably missed a lot of phone calls from my family." I said

"Aw do you really have to?" asked Murr

"Yeah.."

"Wait you should totally come over on New Year's Eve to Joe's house! We are gonna drive to New York and go see the ball drop!" said Sal

"Yeah it would be great!" said Joe

"Oh yea that sounds fun! Sure I'll go!"

I smiled and grabbed my bag and presents. I took Cooper into my arms and moved toward the door. I put on my shoes Sal told me to take off. The guys all have me a hug but not too close one because of the puppy. They went back up to the living room so it was just Q and I.

"Cooper is gonna love his new home." He petted the dog

"Yeah. Thanks so much again for this."

"No problem. I'd do anything for you, I'll look forward to New Years now with you."

I blushed, he came closer to my face and I expected a kiss on the lips. But he kissed my cheek which was ok too.

"Bye Brian."

"Bye Zo!"

I walked to my car and put the presents in the back seat and Cooper in the front. I drove back home and before getting out I texted Hailey everything. She denied being Sal's mystery girl and I was glad to hear that. I let Cooper out to the door and grabbed my stuff then went inside.

"Meet your new home little buddy!" I said.

He ran around the house super happy. I filled a bowl with water and then gave him some meat from the fridge. I have to get some dog food. I went upstairs and put on some sweat pants and a tank top and I threw my hair in a messy bun. Hmm maybe I should get something now at Petco and so I did.

I went to the store and got some treats, wet and dry food, some wee wee pads, a soft light blue dog bed, and a leash. I got home and Cooper was laying on the couch. He ran over to me as he saw the food. He was such a good boy. I gave him some dry food and put down a wee wee pad in every single room. I put the dog bed in my room and the leash and the rest of the food in the kitchen.

He is the only thing that will love me unconditionally, who I will always have by my side. He's my only company and he was given to me by the guy I love.
