I went upstairs and started packing, after I finished I put my bag near the door but kept my phone in my pocket. I called Brian as I was sitting on the couch.
"Hey." He said
"Hey is it really snowy there?" I asked
"Not the first thing I thought would come out of your mouth, but yes it is."
"Sorry and damn. I'm scared to drive." I said
"Need me to get you?"
"Uhm I don't know yet, I'm not leaving till later. I'll see but thanks."
"Oh ok."
"So how's Cooper? Heard you got the invisible fence."
"Yup I did and he's great. He misses you though."
"Aw tell him I miss him too."
"Will do, uhm so are you ready for New Years? The ball drop?"
"I can hardly wait! It's gonna be so fun!"
"I know right. It's so cool hearing your voice on the phone, isn't it weird how people sound different on the phone?"
"Uh... Haha yea it's weird."
"Like I wonder how I sound."
"You're so strange Q. Anyway I have to goo."
"Awe, okay. I'll see you later then."
"Yes you will. Bye."
"Bai!"
I hung up then laughed. He was cute. Jeffery came into the living room and sat next to me. He turned on the tv.
"Hey aren't you supposed to be working?" I asked
"No miss Zoey, Your grandma doesn't need me and I finished everything."
"Oh that's good." I put my feet up on the couch.
The news channel was on and it was saying how much snow we would get. We were supposed to get a snow storm but not until later at night.
"Look at all that snow, are you positive you can drive all the way there, in the storm?" He asked
"Erm... I'm kinda doubting myself right now."
"Can't you stay one more night? Or should I drive you?"
"If I leave tomorrow the roads will have too much snow and I won't be able to leave at all. It's ok you really don't have to do that."
"I don't trust you going off on your own. It's too dangerous."
"I could ask Brian but I feel bad."
"I don't want to have another death in your family."
"Fine."
I picked up my phone and called Q.
"Hey again."
"Oh hi what's up?" He Answered
"I kinda need a ride home... I'm too scared to go by myself."
"I'll be there as soon as possible. Text me the address."
"Okay thank you! You're a life saver."
"Q man to the rescue!"
"Haha well bye." I hung up and texted him the information.
"Is he coming?" asked Jeffery getting up and getting a snack from the kitchen
"Yeah. He will be here probably in an hour."
"How come it takes you longer to get here?" He tossed me a glazed donut.
"Ooo! I don't know. I guess I'm a slow driver."
"Probably."
"Hey!" I started eating the donut.
About 2 hours later, Q did arrive. Jeffery let him in.
"You must be Mr. Brian Quinn, heard so much about you! I'm Jeffery the butler." he said
"Nice to meet you Jeffery."
I got up and grabbed my bag off the floor.
"Kinda late aren't we?" I asked
"Sorry, it was a hell of a ride here."
"It's ok. Bye Jeffery!" I gave Jeffery a hug and a kiss
"I'll tell your grandma bye from you later. Good luck getting home!"
"Thanks."
I smiled and then went outside with Q, he grabbed my bag and put it in the backseat then sat next to me.
"How are you going to get your car later?" He asked
"I'll figure it out when the time comes."
"Haha okay." He smiled
The ride was very quiet and long, it was snowing so hard and I felt so bad for Q, having to drive me. I remember whenever we were in the car, he would always try to take one hand off the wheel and hold my hand, then I would tell him to put it back on the wheel. I missed that, I kinda hoped he would do that again but it wouldn't happen.
We drove till we ended up near a closed off road, luckily there was a police car on the side. Brian pulled up against him and lowered his window.
"Why is the road closed?" He asked
"It's very icy and we are working on it currently. Please take a detour over there."
"But that's the only road we can take to get home."
"Then you should've stayed at home. I'm sorry."
"Thank you for your time." He put up his window and turned the car around and started driving in a random direction.
"What now?" I asked
"I really don't know, you should've stayed at your grandma's."
"It's too far now. Ugh." I sighed, Brian pulled over and faced me.
"Hey I have an idea. Why don't we go to a sweet hotel, stay there till the roads clear up and then head home."
"I don't know. I feel really bad for making you have to go through so much trouble."
"To be honest, I'd go through any trouble for you. So how about my suggestion? I love hotels!"
"Awe alright then sure! Let's go!"
Q started up the car and drove us to the nearest hotel, he got my bag out of the car, while I checked in. We walked up to the room together. It was so cozy and it had a Kitchen!
"Isn't this better than actually going home though?" He asked sitting down
"It is... Oh crap! What about Cooper?" I asked
"Can't you ask Hailey to take care of him and do what I did?" he asked
"I'll text her."
I texted Hailey what happened and she was more than happy to do it. She wanted Q and I to stay even longer in the hotel because apparently to her that's the place when people get down and dirty. I laughed and threw my phone on the bed.
"What she say?"
"She's down with it. Down with even more things to be honest." I giggled to myself
"Oh boy."
This was going to be interesting.
