Y/n's POV:
Me, Fred and George all made our way up to the castle. Hogwarts was simmering in the setting sun, light burst out between the turrets and the windows shined gold. It was beautiful.
But as we were walking towards the great hall, we saw four flying horses flying through the air pulling a carriage coming in to land at Hogwarts. The crowds of Hogwarts began to cheer before we heard Hagrid's voice boom.
"Clear the runway." He called. The carriage flew down and nearly hit Hagrid, but luckily he dived out of the way just in time.
"Well there's something you don't see every day." I said which earned a nod of agreement from each twin.
A large ship emerges from under the water and approaches towards the castle. But before we could see the people coming out of the carriage or ship, we were speedily ushered into the great hall so the new first years can be sorted. I didn't really pay attention to the sorting, only cheering when a child got placed into Gryffindor. After the sorting, Dumbledore waddled his way over his podium.
"Now we're all settled in and sorted" he started. "I'd like to make an announcement. This castle will not only be your home this year but home to some very special guests as well. You see Hogwarts has been chosen...
Filch runs up the aisle limping in a comical way, he whispers something to Dumbledore whilst panting. Which me and the twins found quite amusing. Fred and George like to prank Filch at any opportunity they have. He leaves in the same fashion as his entry.
"So Hogwarts has been chosen" Dumbledore continued like he wasn't interrupted. "to host a legendary event. The Tri-Wizard tournament.
"Wicked" Fred and George whispered. I turned to them and gave them a death stare before turning back to Dumbledore.
"Now for those of you who do not know, the tri-wizard tournament brings together three schools for a series of magical contests. From each school a single contestant is selected to compete. Now let me be clear, if choosen you stand alone. And trust me when I say these contests are not for the faint hearted, but more of that later."
I zoned out for the rest. I finally had a moment to work out when my transformation is. I counted on my fingers under the table to work out the days. That's when I finally worked it out. A pit fell in my stomach at the thought of my next transformation. It's Tomorrow. As soon as I got myself over the shock of my realisation, I turned my head towards the teachers table to make eye contact with the doctor of the school. Poppy Pomfrey. As soon as she noticed me I mouthed to her 'Tomorrow'. She instantly knew what I was talking about, she nodded and turned her attention back to the guests. I however, did not. I sat there staring at my shoes, recalling every event that happens on that night. I don't know how long I zoned out for, but Fred pulled me out of my thoughts to eat.
Fred's POV:
"And trust me when I say these contests are not for the faint hearted, but more of that later."
The triwizard tournament sounds awesome. I turned to y/n to express my excitement, but she seemed to have zoned out. I decided it would be best to leave her and focus on Dumbledore again.
"For now please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of magic and their headmistress Madam Maxime."
A group of girls dressed in blue silk uniform Burt through the doors. They danced up the aisle and release butterflies into the air. They bow and everyone applauds. I knew some of the girls there were part Veela. Yes they were beautiful, but not as beautiful as y/n. Because of this, I paid no attention to the girls, knowing no one could beat y/n at all.
"Blimey, that's one big woman." Seamus Finnigan said. That's when I noticed that the headmistress was very tall. Taller than Hagrid. And that's saying something.
"And now our friends from the north," Dumbledore continued. "please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and the high master Igor Karkaroff."
A series of older boys walk up the aisle brandishing bo staffs, twirling them around and periodically stabbing them into the ground with a spark effect. I must admit. It was pretty cool. That's when I noticed someone walking in the back with Karkaroff.
"Blimey it's him, Viktor Krum!" Ron called as the boys breathe some fire out of the end of their staffs. Igor walked down to Dumbledore and shook his hand warmly.
"Albus!"
"Igor."
Whilst the Durmstrang boys walked in, I noticed y/n had raised her head. Her face looked as though she had seen something horrific. She was staring towards the teacher table. I don't know who she was looking for, but once she had their eye I saw her mouth 'Tomorrow' to them. I became confused. Somethings happening tomorrow and she's trying to keep it a secret. The thought was playing around in my mind whilst I told y/n that it was time for the feast. She went back to normal, talking and laughing like everything was fine. After we ate, we turned back to Dumbledore.
"Your attention please! I would like to say a few words. Eternal glory, that is what awaits the student who wins the tri-wizard tournament. But to do this that student must survive three tasks. Three extremely dangerous tasks."
"Wicked." I said.
"Your not thinking of entering are you!?" Y/n asked worried.
"Of course I am" I said proudly. Her face became pale with nerves so I decided to drop the subject and focus on the headmaster.
"For this reason the ministry has seen fit to impose a new rule. To explain all this we have the head of the department of international magic cooperation Mister Bartimus Crouch."
Suddenly, thunder roars overhead, rain begins leaking through the roof and screams break out. A strange man stands in the doorway, he casts some magic upwards and seals the roof. Peace is restored.
"Bloody hell, it's Mad-Eye Moody." Ron stuttered.
"Alastor Moody? The auror?" Hermione asked.
"He was a catcher. Half the cells in Azkaban are full thanks to him. He's supposed to be mad as a hatter though these days."
He enters the room and begins walking. He limps, breathing heavily as he goes towards Dumbledore to shake his hand.
"My dear old friend, thanks for coming." Dumbledore said.
"That stupid roof." Moody muttered. He took a hip flask from his pocket and drunk something out of it. It caused him to shiver and he placed the flask back in his pocket.
"What's that he's drinking do you suppose?" Y/n asked.
"I don't know but I don't think it's Pumpkin Juice." I replied. Then, Barty Crouch stepped forward and began speaking.
"After much deliberation the ministry has concluded that for their own safety no student under the age of seventeen shall be allowed to put forth their name for the tri-wizard tournament. This decision is final.
"That's rubbish! You don't know what you're doing!" George roared, I followed suit soon after joining him in uproar.
"Silence!" Dumbledore yelled. A brown box encrusted with jewels was brought forward. Dumbledore tapped his wand over a box which melds into a goblet containing a blue flame.
"The goblet of fire. Anyone wishing to submit themselves for the tournament merely write their name upon a piece of parchment and throw it in the flame before this hour on Thursday night. Do not do so lightly, if choosen there's no turning back. As from this moment the tri-wizard tournament has begun." Dumbledore finished.
Everyone then stood up and began to walk back to the common room. I walked with y/n and George in normal conversation. Once we made it to the common room, y/n wished us a good night then turned to go to her dormitory. Once me and George made it to ours, I sat on the bed and replayed y/n's strange behaviour over and over again.
Who was she mouthing to? Is something wrong? Have I done anything? What does she know? What can I do to help? What is she hiding?

A/n: Happy Wednesday! I hope your having a great week so far. Sorry for the shorter part and it's probably boring. I have a cold right now, so I'm finding it difficult to write. But I done it anyway. Have a great day :)
