•3rd Person POV•
The weeks that had passed had gone really well, the shop was always crowded until one night there was a loud bang further down Diagon Alley. Y/n and Fred woke up with a jolt and George came running in.
"Did you hear that?" He panted, his face had gone pale from shock.
"Yeah," Y/n replied shakily, "Wait, our window has a view of the alley." She added.
Y/n and Fred leaped out of bed and they and George ran over to the window. The lights in the alley were dark except for a small light right at the end of the path. But a bright light burst out of a shop halfway down and figures began emerging from it.
"No," Gasped Y/n when she realised what store they were emerging from, "Not Ollivanders."
Four more figures walked out, all of them were holding bags of what were clearly wand boxes, they turned to smoke and shot up into the sky. One more person came out of the store, and they looked around and Y/n ducked down when she saw Greyback who stood tall and proud. He held onto another person, a black bag over his head, Y/n could assume that it was Mr. Ollivander, with one more look towards the top bedroom, Greyback flew up and shifted into smoke. The three of them immediately ran down the stairs, and out of the shop. They were some of the first people down to the shop to fight the fire.
"Aguamenti!" Y/n called, a stream of water spurted from her wand and it put out a small fire near the back of the store.
It took about 20 people 30 minutes to put out the fire. The inside of the shop was blackened and ashes lay across the floor, glass from the windows was shattered across the alley. They had to wait for aurors to arrive to give statements before they could go back to their flat.
The twins had decided to close the store for the day the next day, they had to make sure that their shop was secure and the chances of getting robbed were lower
They had noticed that the shop hadn't been as busy since the raid, nearly a week had passed and there was no longer a queue outside of the store and it was only half full. The alley was almost empty and the people who were walking down were clutching their wands as tight as they could. It had been yet another slower day, but the twins were expecting Harry, Hermione and their family visiting the store for the first time.
Diagon Alley had changed. The colorful, glittering window displays of spellbooks, potion ingredients, and cauldrons were lost to view, hidden behind the large Ministry of Magic posters that had been pasted over them. Most of these somber purple posters carried blown-up versions of the security advice on the Ministry pamphlets that had been sent out over the summer, but others bore moving black-and-white photographs of Death Eaters known to be on the loose. Bellatrix Lestrange was sneering from the front of the nearest apothecary. A few windows were boarded up, including those of Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor. On the other hand, a number of shabby-looking stalls had sprung up along the street.
Set against the dull, poster-muffled shop Fronts around them, Fred and Georges's windows hit the eye like a firework display. Casual passersby were looking back over their shoulders at the windows, and a few rather stunned-looking people had actually come to a halt, transfixed. The left-hand window was dazzlingly full of an assortment of goods that revolved, popped, flashed, bounced, and shrieked; Harry's eyes began to water just looking at it. The right-hand window was covered with a gigantic poster, purple like those of the Ministry, but emblazoned with flashing yellow letters:
