"Well..." Aden scratched his head. "I've been hiding a lot of things from you lately, and this is just one of them." He looked up to see Caroline staring at his body, her eyes observing his toned arms. She tried to read one of his heart shaped tattoos that said 'My beloved Gra--'
"HEY!" He snapped his fingers loudly in front of her. "My eyes are up here."
"Oh--I--sorry..." Caroline tried to read it again, but unfortunately he changed his position.
"Anyway..." In a snap, a lit cigarette appeared on Aden's right hand. He inhaled the smoke, feeling its warmth glidingly softly down his nonexistent lungs. "Remember that man--the one who looked like James?"
The sudden mention of his name got Caroline's heart to skip. She touched her lips. "W-what about him?"
"I... know that man; despite the fact that he looked like James."
"Know him? Know him how?" Caroline scooted closer to him, her knees touching his. Aden felt uncomfortable. He could... feel her with this form. A chill travelled through his spine. This was a weird experience for him; mainly because he hasn't been like this in years.
Aden swallowed his spit. "H-he used to be one of my bestest friends... in hell. But I betrayed him, and since then he's hunting me down..."
The cigarrette made a small wail as he crushed it on the sofa. "... along with others. Many, many others. They know where I am--who I'm with. I don't know how, but they fucking did." Aden mirrored Caroline's body and touched her shoulders. His cold hand made her jump.
"And now..." His voice cracked," they're coming for you."
That statement echoed repeatedly through Caroline's head. It was like the whole world crumbled at her feet. A whole bunch of demons... coming for her? What did Aden do to deserve this? She's never seen him so scared or worried.
"So I need you to be careful. I need you to listen to me and only me. Don't trust anyone else, got it?"
"Caroline... Caroline honey..." A familiar voice entered the room.
"Mom's calling me." Caroline stood up--and so did Aden. She forgot how tall he was compared to her--a small 5'4 17 year old. "I'll talk to you later. I appreciate what you told me."
"Yeah..." An awkward silence fell. Aden waited for her to leave, but she just stood there swaying back and forth. "Well fucking go already!" He laughed as he pushed Caroline to the door.
As she was about to enter back to the real world, she stopped and looked back at Aden--who was watching her as well.
Caroline giggled and flipped a bird.

Caroline's eyes wanted to sleep more, but she forced them top open. Some dried tears were around her tear ducts.
"Caroline, honey!" She could feel her mom pushing her arm.
"W-wha--?"
"We're here! I've been trying to wake you up for the past 10 minutes! What's happening to you today?" Her mom crossed her arms.
"Uhhh..." Caroline's head went brain dead. All she focused on was sleep.
Aden... Aden you awake?
Shut up.
I guess so.
"Aghhhh..." Caroline struggled getting out of the seat. Her bones were stiff; as if she was living her life as a statue. Her hair was tangled and messy, so she tried hiding it with her hoodie.
"C'mon, you lazy butt!" Her mom dragged her through the aisle. There was a bright light form the airplane's exit, making Caroline cringe.
"Welcome to your new home!"

Sorry to not have post in a loong time. This chapter's really short, I know (I say that a lot don't I?). I felt kinda guilty, so here ya go!
I'm still working to improve my writing style. It seems a little off, right?
Thanks for reading!
P.s. Maybe a very long chapter by next week as a present for you guys. Atleast 2,000 words?
Fighting! :)
