"Dad! C-can you help me with-ugh!"

Caroline dropped the most heaviest box she ever tried lifting on her toe. It was the last in the house, so Caroline thought she could because they were late for their airplane ride.

"OH SHIT THAT HURTS!" Caroline gripped her foot to ease the pain, but it only made it worse.

"I'm coming, hon! I just gotta...fit...these...boxes!" Her dad grunted while trying to push huge boxes inside the van.

Hah, you fucking wimp. A ring of smoke circled around tearing-up Caroline.

"Aden, what the hell?! Why didn't you help me?!" She angrily whispered to the black fog.

You didn't ask. His witty comeback made Caroline's blood boil.

"Aden! Can you just... do the thing?"

His eyebrow (which Caroline could somewhat see from his face even though it was covered with smoke) rose. Mehh, I don't know... you almost broke your arm the last time we tried it. He circled around the room and sat on a lawn chair.

"Oh, come on! I'll be extra careful!" Caroline pouted.

Aden shook his head. Ok, fine. But don't make that face again, it makes me wanna puke.

Aden flew from his chair and grabbed Caroline's pale arms. His body began seeping inside Caroline's veins, causing them to throb with adrenaline and turn visibly black. Her eyes began to glow red, but since it was daylight you can't really see it.

Caroline felt like she could do anything... she felt invincible! But she knows if she messes up again, the effect would be fatal.

"Alright, let's do this!"Caroline cracked her knuckles. She kneeled down and grabbed the box and ran to the car. It's like carrying a box of feathers!

Don't get full of yourself, Carrie. Aden reminded.

"Yeah, yeah..."

~~~~
An hour later, Carrie began unloading the boxes behind the van. After she was dome with her part, she went to the driver's lowered window and crossed her arms on them to lay her head. Brandy looked at her in confusion.
Caroline chuckled. "I'm gonna miss you."
He nodded his head and smiled.
"Caroline!" a voice called.
"Coming!" She looked back at Brandy. "See ya."
As soon as she turned her body, a low, husky voice whispered "I'll miss you too".
No way.
Caroline turned around,but the car engine roared and the van soon drove away. She saw a small hand peeping our the window, waving good-bye. Caroline gleamed and started waving back like a lunatic.
Five hours later, Erika and Liam sat in their gate waiting for their daughter. The passengers were already entering on board.
Caroline was too fascinated with the "intense" scenery going around her that she got lost and had to ask hundreds of people where to go. Plus she found the Souvenir store.
"Geez! Why is this place so big?!" She accidentally yelled out loud which the people around her gave weird expressions. 'Damn this girl is stupid', they might say.
It's a fucking airport, why the hell would be small in the first place? Aden "hit" her head.
Caroline ran as fast as she could to find Gate 23. She looked around the other gate numbers but it seemed it was getting lesser as she ran. Only then she realized she's going the opposite way and abruptly stopped between an old couple.
"I'm so sorry, miss!" She patted the old lady's wrinkly back and ran. The old lady glared and shook her head.
"Wait, Caroline!" A voice called. Is it him? She thought. Probably my imaginaton.
"Um, young woman! I believe your boyfriend is calling you!" The old husband called.
What? From the corner of her eye, she saw a tall man chasing after her. Once she noticed how the stranger's eyes glowed blue she knew who he was.
"James?!"
