Shifting uncomfortably under his glare, I offered him a small smile of acknowledgement, which I doubt he clocked as his focus was strictly on my neck.

"Angelo." Lorenzo said, slightly sternly, "non è il momento, fratello."

(now's not the time, brother)

Angelo's eyes quickly snapped up to mine, and softened a fraction. "Spiacente Carlotta."

(sorry)

I held his gaze, something about him feeling oddly familiar and... homely? I internally frowned at his and Lorenzo's little interaction, knowing I wouldn't get away with any of the marks on my skin.

Gods, they're just like the Russians.

"I'm glad you're home, sorellina." Angelo finally said, after somehow having a silent conversation with Lorenzo and Giovanni, only using their eyes.

(little sister)

I felt a bit awkward at the somewhat forced introduction, but thank the gods above when Lorenzo breaks the awkwardness.

"Right, okay. Come on Car, I'll show you to your room." Lorenzo smiled at me, nodding his head towards the staircase.

I smiled at him gratefully (he was quickly winning points for the favourite bio brother) and followed him to the stairs, the other two still staring intensely.

Before we reached halfway, Giovanni spoke up again, "Her room is pretty shit at the moment though no? It hasn't been used in..." He trailed off, haphazardly bringing up my disappearance.

I cringed a little at the awkward silence that followed, until yet again Lorenzo saved the day, "Yeah but we can get stuff for her tomorrow. For now she can put her bag down." He suggested.

Giovanni just nodded, obviously not happy with the fact my room wasn't ready for me. I warmed a little at that.

Lorenzo and I continued up the stairs and down the second floor hallway. The house was massive, passing multiple doors until we got to what I assumed to be mine.

"Like Gio said, it's not much at the moment but-" Lorenzo began, opening the door and stepping inside only to be cut off by the room we entered.

I don't know what the fuck Giovanni was saying when he said it was kinda shit.

The room seemed to be freshly painted and decorated. It was fully furnished with a massive double bed and comfy white sheets. The pillows that decorated it were sage green and brown, bringing in some earthy tones that were present outside the massive window and balcony, overlooking the forest surrounding the estate. There was a desk, TV, bookshelves and all the basics needed to make up a simply stunning room. There was a large full length mirror as well as two separate doors. One I'm assuming led to a closet and the other a bathroom.
