I sat in the back of the car with a tired looking Car snuggled in my arms.

Packing her stuff from the Beneventi's and then packing for Italy had really taken it out of her, and to top it off it was 6pm and we were driving down a private air strip to fly 8 hours to Italy.

I couldn't blame her for feeling tired.

With my arm firmly wrapped around her, I make idle conversation with our driver, speaking in a hushed Greek as he goes through the itinerary for the plane, both on the way to Italy and back.

I nod along and silently thank the Gods when we make it to the plane and the man stops talking.

My tolerance for people was genuinely non-existent.

I glance down at the angel in my arms, well, almost non-existent.

I order the driver to move our bags into the plane cargo and focus on moving my most precious item, lifting Car into my arms as I scoot out of the car.

She stirs, her eyes blinking open as the loud sound of the plane's engine bursts our calm bubble from the car.

"Are we here?" She mumbles a little incoherently, and I look down at her amused.

"We haven't even boarded the plane yet, sweetheart." I smirk and she groans, smooshing her face into the crook of my neck as I walk closer to the entrance.

I nod at the pilot waiting by the stairs to greet us onboard.

His eyes flash down to Car in my eyes and I cradle her head to keep it in the crook of my neck as I glide past the pilot and up the stairs.

We enter the plane and I see Andreas and Mateo already onboard, and have to resist a scoff when I see their position.

Mateo was sitting upright, wide awake as Andreas was slumped in his chair, his head resting on Mateo's lap as he snores away softly.

I look down at my own girl in my eyes and internally chuckle at the parallels.

I take the seat across from Andreas and Mateo, neglecting the available chair beside me and rather placing Car in my lap as she snuggles up to me sideways.

Her head automatically rests on my shoulder and a soft sigh escapes her lips as she gets comfortable.

I look up to Mateo and find him already looking at me. A flash of understanding crossed his features and we both shared a small smile at our similar positions.

In the next couple of minutes, the plane got closed up and the pilot boarded. The flight attendant came to brief us and ask for any food or drinks requests.

He was a tall boy, slightly wide on the shoulders, but pretty average at that.

"Good evening sirs." He says with a bow of his head. I glanced up at him briefly, but didn't give him any attention other than that.
