All my brothers stood there gaping at me, struggling to find the words to respond to my question."Car, hey, hey how you doing?" Romeo rambled. "This is actually just our secret hangout place ya know. Your door is very... aesthetically pleasing." He said, sending me a questioning glance when I raised my eyebrow up at him in amusement.
Giovanni rolled his eyes, pushing Romeo out of the way so he was standing in front of me now, "Car we need to talk. Now." He stated plainly before sidestepping me and walking into my room.
"By all means, come on in." I sigh sarcastically as I turn to follow him into my room again, the others following behind me aphrehenively.
I take a seat back on my bed, getting comfy by my pillows when the whole bed jolts violently, only to realise both Romeo and Massimo have thrown themselves either side of me.
A make a small yelping sound as they land beside me, making them look up at me grinning at my reaction.
I flip them both off before turning my attention to the older boys, Giovanni and Angelo having taken seats by my couches and Lorenzo sitting on my vanity chair.
I raised my eyebrows at Giovanni, seeing as he was the one who asked to talk.
Before Giovanni could speak, Angelo spoke up instead, "Before Gio starts spewing a bunch of shit," he gave Giovanni a pointed look to which he just rolled his eyes, "Let's get a mutual understanding of one another, okay?" He asked me.
"And what would this mutual understanding entail?" I reply boredly, looking at my nails.
"Cut the bullshit Carlotta, I don't like liars." Angelo said sternly.
I look up at him now, staring him dead in the eyes, "Nor do I, Angelo."
I could see him getting pissed off at my talk back but he reigned it in before continuing, "Fine. We both haven't been honest with one another. Now's the time to get it in the open, yes?" He asked frustratedly.
"Depends what you're planning on telling me." I say leaning forward now.
"Guys, let's keep this civil, okay? We were all in the wrong for lying to one another, let's resolve this now yeah?" Lorenzo speaks up, obviously not wanting anyone to fight or get upset.
"For fucks sake." Giovanni says suddenly, "We know you know about the Italian mafia." Giovanni blurted out.
Oh shit.
I thought they were going to tell me about it. I didn't know they knew that I knew about the mafia.
Fuck, thats embarassing, caught in a fucking lie.
I try not to let any of the surprise show on my face, looking at Giovanni with a calm expression. "I do. How long were you planning on keeping me from it?" I fire back.
