The rest of the evening goes by quickly, albeit tensely.
I return to my seat on the sofa after making several trips to bring everyone their drinks, with absolutely no help from Apollo, the dickhead.
He officially put me in a pissy mood until I realised I'm acting stupid over a boy.
I needed to put my big girl pants on and get over it.
We're on out fourth or fifth movie now, I don't fucking know, when I get a message on my phone.
Spaghetti mafia siblings 🍝🤌
Don🤝🤴:
Car, Santiago's on his way home, so he's going to pick you up from your brother's place. Text him the address and he'll come pick you up. See you soon. x
Me:
Ok, can you send me his number?
Don🤝🤴:
Already gave him yours.
I frown at Angelo's text before I get yet another notification on my phone.
I swear to god, people won't leave me alone on this godsdamned thing.
Unknown number:
Hello estrella, where am I picking you up from?
This man better not be texting and driving-
I'm about to type back a response, but quickly realise where I actually am.
Apollo's house.
Fuck.
Me:
Santi, I need you to not freak out ok?
Santiago🚨🔥:
No promises, sweetheart.
Me:
I'm at the Greeks' house. That's where my brothers are staying.
I don't get a reply for a few seconds, but I can see Santiago has read the text.
Eventually a small speech bubble pops up and I hold my breath.
Santiago🚨🔥:
I'll be there in 5.
I let my breath go, but still knowing I'm most certainly not out of the woods yet.
Maybe there's some way I can convince him not to tell my brothers.
I'll have to think about that one.
I put my phone away and called out for Mateo's attention, who bless him, is almost half asleep.
"Mateo," I say softly, making him turn to me groggily, sleep apparent in his eyes, "I'm getting a ride back in 5 minutes, are you okay to catch a ride home?" I ask.
