Liz and Dean are waiting in the car for Sam. Sam gets back into the car and Dean says, "So?" Sam says, "I think she's telling the truth. I mean, the way she talked about being there mentally but not physically -- kind of sounds like demonic possession to me." Dean says, "Kind of?" Sam says, "She didn't see any black smoke or smell sulfur." Dean says, "Maybe it's not a demon. I mean, kids can be vicious." Liz says, "I mean, were already here." Sam says, " Yeah, we should at least still check out the school." Dean says, "Right. The school." Sam says, "What?" Dean says, "Truman High, Home of the Bombers." Sam says, "What's your point?" Dean says, "I don't know." Dean says, "I mean, we went there, like... for a month a million years ago. Why are you so jazzed to go back?" Sam says, "I'm not. I just think it's worth looking into." Dean says, "All right, well, what's our cover? FBI? Homeland Security? Swedish Exchange Students?" Sam says, "Don't worry. I got an idea." Dean says, "Okay."
Sam's disguised is a janitor, Dean's is gym teacher and Liz's is a substitute English teacher. Liz is teaching a class of seniors. Their talking about Romeo and Juliet and what are their thought own how the love story became an epic tragedy. Liz is getting a little annoyed about a few of the senior boys hitting on her. Then the bell rings and Liz goes to meet up with Sam to go see Dean. Liz says, "Looks like your having fun." Dean smiles and say, "Yeah, this whistle makes me their god." Sam says, "Right. Nice shorts." Dean says, "Find anything?" Sam says, "I've been over the entire school twice. No sulfur." Dean says, "No sulfur, no demon. No demon, no case." Sam says, "I don't know. Maybe I was wrong." Dean says, "Well, it happens to the best of us. I say we hit the road, huh?" Liz says, "Yes, please. I don't know how much more longer I can stand being a substitute teacher." Sam says, "I thought you loved English?" Liz says, "Yeah, I do. What I don't like is being hit on every sec. God I forgot how teenage boys are pigs." Sam softly laughs and Dean says, "Do you want me to hurt them?" Liz says, "As much as I would love that. No, their not worth it." Dean says, "Can we go after lunch? It's sloppy-joe day." Liz smiles and says, "Okay." Then a kid gets hit with a dodge ball and his nose is bleeding. Dean shouts, "Good hustle, Colby! Walk it off!" Later, Liz and Dean come back from an assembly and Sam says, "How's the nonviolence assembly going?" Dean says, "Apparently, shoving a kid's arm into a Cuisinart is not a 'Healthy display of anger.'" Liz says, "So, the kid had ectoplasm leaking out his ear?" Sam says, "Which only comes from a seriously pissed-off spirit. It's got to be ghost possession." Dean says, "Yeah, but that's pretty rare." Liz says, "Yeah, but it happens. I mean, they get angry enough, they can take control of a person's body." Dean says, "All right, so, what, we got a ghost in the building?" Sam says, "Yeah, but where? I mean, there's no EMF. Maybe we could find out who it is, at least. You know, check and see if somebody died bloody around here or something." Liz says, "Way ahead of you. The principal need to see me and when he wasn't looking I took this. So, there was only one death on campus. It was a suicide back in '98. It was some kid named Barry Cook." Sam grabs the paper out of Liz's hand and Liz says, "Do you recognize the name?" Sam says, "Yeah, I knew him. How did he die?" Liz says, "He slit his wrists in the first-floor girls' bathroom." Sam says, "That where --" Liz says, "Right where that girl got swirled to death. Exactly." Dean says, "So, what? This ghost is possessing nerds?" Sam says, "And using them to go after bullies, yeah." Dean says, "Well, does that sound like Barry's M.O.?" Sam says, "Barry had a hard time." Later, they salt and burn Barry's bones.
The next day, their back at the school, because Sam wanted to speak with one of his teachers. While, Liz and Dean are waiting for Sam. Dean says, "Other than the boys being pigs in high school did you enjoy going to school?" Liz softly smiles and says, "Yeah. I did." Dean says, "Weren't you one of the most popular girls in school?" Liz says, "Yeah, I was. I remember having one friend from the start of elementary school to the end of high school." Dean says, "Oh, yeah. You two were inseparable, I was pretty jealous." Liz says, "Why? Because he was a guy?" Dean says, "Yeah, and that fact that he knew you better than I did. I mean, come on Liz, you and mean weren't exactly close friends. We were friends because of our dads." Liz sadly says, "Yeah, I know. I miss him though." Dean wraps Liz up in a hug and says, "I know you do." Liz lays her head on Dean's shoulder. Soon they find out that it wasn't Barry doing the possessing, but it knew Sam's real name. They think the bus is connected to whoever is possessing people. They find out Dirk is the ghost their looking for. They then go talk to Dirk's father who owns the bus. Later, they stop the bus to burn Dirk's remains.
