Chapter 12: "Criss Angel is a Douche Bag"

They walk up to a guy who's a magician and he says, "About demons and angels, love and lust..." Dean says, "What a douche bag." The guy says, "All that stuff mixed up in my head." Liz says, "That's Jeb Dexter." Dean looks at Liz and says, "I don't even what to know how you know that." Liz says, "I'm a fan. He's kind of famous." Dean says, "For what, douchebaggery?" The guy says, "How messed up it gets, don't touch me, okay? For your own safety. Go back to hell, demon! Is this your card?" Liz claps with a smile and Dean rolls his eyes. Dean says, "Oh, you got to be kidding me. A fake demon possession?" Dean grabs Liz's hand and says, "I can't believe people actually fall for that crap." Sam says, "It's not all crap." Dean says, "What part of that was not a steaming pile of B.S.?" Sam says, "Okay, that was crap, but that's not all magicians. It takes skill." Dean says, "Oh, right. Right. I forgot. You and Liz were actually into this stuff, weren't you guys? I know Sam, had like a deck of cards and a wand. Liz, since you had real magic you made it seem like you were a real magician." Sam says, "Dude, I was 13. It was a phase." Liz says, "Yeah, using real magic to fool people was awesome." Sam says, "Not just awesome. I remember ever guy was in love with you." Liz says, "Oh, yeah. I forgot about that." Dean says, "Really?" Sam smirks and says, "Yeah, they were swooning head over heels for her." Liz elbows Sam and says, "Okay, knock it off, Sammy." Dean says, "This stuff bugs me, actually it offends me. You know, playing at demons and magic, when the real thing will kill you bloody." Sam says, "Like a guy who drops dead of 10 stab wounds without a single tear in his shirt?" Dean says, "That's what I'm talking about." They go interview Vance's assistant. Later, they go watch Jay do The Executioner. Dean smiles and says, "Thar was amazing." Liz is shocked and says, "That was not humanly possible." Liz is thinking that he used real magic to escape the rope.

The next day, Liz is looking on the internet about Jay and says, "Looks like this guy jay was a pretty big deal in the '70s." Dean says, "Which in magician land means what, exactly?" Liz says, "Big enough tp play Radio City Music Hall." Dean says, "What got him stuck in their, "Where are they now?" file?" Liz says, "He got old." Dean says, "Okay, so maybe incredible Jay is using real magic to stage a comeback." Sam says, "It's possible. Some kind of spell that works a death transference." Dean says, "How does the tarot card mix into it?" Liz says, "I don't know." Dean shakes his head and says, "Man... hope I die before I get old. Whole thing seems brutal, don't it?" Sam says, "You think we will?" Dean says, "What?" Sam says, "Die before we get old." Dean says, "Haven't we already?" Sam says, "You know what I mean, Dean. I mean, do you think we'll still be chasing demons when we're 60?" Dean says, "No, I think we'll be dead... for good." Liz says, "Speak for yourself. I want to keep saving people until my last breath." Sam says, "Really? No apple pie life?" Dean looks at Liz waiting for her answer. Liz says, "Yeah, I want that and to keep hunting. I mean, I've already been doing it for most of my life." Dean nods and says, "Liz, sooner or later our time will be up and it will be bloody and sad." Liz nods and says, "I know." Sam says, "What if it doesn't have to be. What if we could win and find the source and cut of the head off the snake." Dean says, "But there could be more than head of snake and they keep piling up until there's no stopping it." Sam says, "Yeah, I guess your right." Later, they find Jeb dead and they think Jay is behind his and Vance's death. The boys go sneak into Jay's place and Liz is downstairs starting to think that maybe Jay isn't the one doing real magic and starts doing some digging. Liz calls Dean and he says, "Hello?" Liz says, "I don't think it's Jay." Dean says, "How do you know?" Liz says, "Call it a gut feeling, just don't do anything stupid?" Dean says, "Too late." Liz says, "It has to be someone close to Jay." Dean says, "So Charlie and Vernon. Is there anyone else?" Liz says, "I don't know. Just ask him." Dean says, "Damn it." Liz rolls her eyes and says,  "You lost him didn't you?" Dean says, "Yep." Dean hangs up and Liz shakes her head. The boys go downstairs to see Liz and Sam says, "No way he could outrun us." Dean says, "Maybe he vanished. I mean, he really is good." Liz says, "Did you check the whole room?" Sam says, "No, we just assumed he went out the door." Liz mutters under her breath, "Idiots." The police come and Jay comes downstairs and says, "That's them. Those two nut jobs are the ones who broke into my room!" The boys then get arrested and Liz sighs. Liz goes to see Jay to tell him to let the boys go and Jay agrees. Liz and Jay are waiting in the lobby for Dean and Sam. Jay tells them Charlie's dead and he talks about his childhood with Charlie. They think it's Vernon, but Jay doesn't think so. Then the boys scope out Vernon's place. Liz stays with Jay and is hiding on stage behind the curtains to see if Vernon is really the one killing people. Liz then notices an unfamiliar man talking to Jay. Liz thinks that this man is the one responsible. Jay says, "Charlie." Liz thinks oh, so he faked his death and became younger. He's immortal. The boys come and Liz thinks this is her chance to do a spell on Charlie. Liz uses her powers on Charlie and he puts a rope around Dean and Sam's neck. Liz says, "Let them both go, Now!"  Charlie says, "Just leave me and my friends alone." Liz throws Charlie away and she walks up to him and angrily says, "Let go of them right now." Charlie sees her eyes turn a purple blue color and says, "All right, I will give up -- the spells, the hexes. This is the last time. I promise." Liz then grabs him and he vanishes. Charlie throws Liz on the table and locks her arms and legs. Liz looks up to see the needles and she tries to use her strength to get out of here, but she feels a little weak form using too much power. The rope is about to snap and Liz closes her eyes. Jay then tabs himself resulting in stabbing Charlie too. The locks on her arms and legs are broken and the boys take are let down and the ropes are taken off their necks. Liz says to them, "You guys okay?" Sam says, "Yeah." Dean says, "Yeah, were both okay." They then say thank you to Jay, but he doesn't want their thanks. Dean says he's going go for a beer and Sam says that he's going to take a walk. Liz joins Dean for a beer. Dean says, "About your future apple apple pie life, am I in it?" Liz says, "Yeah, you are. There's no one else I'd rather be with then you." Dean smiles and softly kisses Liz.
