Old cities and New buddies

after packing the essentials and suiting up, they got on their horses and went straight to their homeland.

after long roads, rocky terrain. 

they arrived at their destination, Hypixel. 

they were in the central City, but they need to go west as their childhood homes are in the Central West city. 

though they decided before the trip to stop at the inn, as they presumed that they were going to be tired out due to the trip. 

settling down the horses in the stables near the local inn. they went inside.

They were immediately got hit with the smell of smokey oak planks and beer. Techno's face turned into discomfort at the smell. 

they walked up to the reception who presumably was doing some paperwork, thought putting it aside to greet the new guests. 

"Ah hello! Are you resting for the night? " the receptionist said with an awfully cheery voice. 

"Ah yes, two rooms please. " "alright then, just write your names over here.. " Techno and Dream took turns writing their names on the paper. 

"mhm, payment please?. " Techno pulled out a punch of gold and showed it to the receptionist, "will this be enough?." the piglin asked with uncertainty. 

"yep, thank you gentleman, here's your papers and make sure to give it to me when you are ready to retire for the day. " the receptionist handed the papers of proof to the two, and the duo gave their thanks and headed out for some dinner. 

Techno, being originally from the central City before him and his parents moved to the Central West City, he naturally knew where the popular (and secretly his favorite) restaurant is located. 

being in a deep conversation during the whole walk towards the place, they bumped into someone. 

The unfamiliar person was on the ground, immediately activating Techno's 'Gentleman' attitude, and he offered a hand to the stranger. 

Dream on the other hand observed the stranger, a mix of dirty blonde and strawberry blonde hair, a pair of macaw wings could also be seen behind their back. they were wearing a white colored shirt and a wine red sweater, they also wore black glasses implying that the stranger has some eyesight problems, though mostly a guess. 

"ow… " "apologies, we weren't paying attention to our surroundings, are you hurt?. " Techno asked the stranger. 

the stranger looked up, and took his hand as Techno helped them up. 

fixing his clothes, the stranger finally replied "it's no worries, I kinda ran into you guys. ".

Dream being a bit surprised at the stranger's voice, immediately chipped in starting a conversation. 

"oh are you in a rush?. ''''nah, had a little competition with a friend. ".

Techno only watched as the two conversed a bit too smoothly. picking up small details of the conversation, the stranger's name is Grian he heard. a bit strange, but not out of the ordinary. 

he perked up when the stranger offered if they wanted to join him and his friend, which without Techno's consent, Dream said yes. 

Now he's a bit pissed, but Dream still trying to assure him it'll go smooth, ignoring the fact Techno has social anxiety. 

They reach the table Grian leads them to, waving at his friend. 

the stranger glanced up and gave a little hello. and let the guests, and of course his friend Grian sit at the table. 

Again, Dream observed the seemingly odd young lad. his giant top hat with clocks, his outfit reminiscing of the old days, the pair of brown and purple neatly groomed wings. but the most eye-catching thing are the stranger's scars across his face, some looked old and some looked brand new. 

"Hey Scar! Sorry for taking so long, got bumped into these guys and had some small talk. and oh right! Dream, uh.. " "it's Techno" Grian nodded, "... Techno, meet Scar, he's one of my friends from Hermitcraft, the server I mentioned earlier" 

Dream extended an arm while Techno just shifted uncomfortably in his seat. 

"Nice to meet you Mr Scar".

Scar chuckled at the formality and shook his hand, "no need for being formal my friend, just call me Scar" "well then Scar, i'm glad to be acquaintances with you. ".

While Dream and Scar were getting to know each other, Grian noticed Techno's discomfort and silently whispered at him, " you okay?. ".

Techno was slightly surprised at the concern in his voice but figured it was probably general decency. 

" yeah im fine", Grian didn't believe it, but he didn't want to press the hybrid further. 

"Oh okay then. " he said, opting to continue listening to the conversation before being interrupted by the waiter who asked for their order. 

They all ordered what they needed and went back to chatting and listening. until Scar asked a question that could possibly change the whole point of the trip. 

"so, why are you guys in Central City? there's not much around here" he asked with curiosity. 

Dream laughed at the question before answering, "oh we're just stopping to get some rest, getting here was a long trip so kinda tired you know?. we're actually planning to go to the Central West. ".

the winged pair looked at each other and back at them with a smile, " oh my ender! we're also going to the Central West, what a coincidence! ".

Techno could already sense the smug grin Dream was having. 

" You guys should join us! A four person party is better than separate parties with only two people in each right?. ", both Scar and Grian nodded at him. Scar being the obviously more excited one. 

" sure! That would be great, having more friends around would make the trip much more fun." Scar happily answered, ' Grian giggled at his friend's tone. 

"Well, before that, do you guys have a place to stay? we have a house down the street if you wanna sleep?. " the red sweater wearing male asked. 

Before Dream could answer, Techno pitched in, "n-no, it's fine, we booked an inn earlier and-" "excuse me gentleman here's your food".

Techno face palmed at the timing. 

They all gave the waiter a thanks and focused on finishing the food before the night got darker.

After all that, they paid and went outside. 

" Ender am I stuffed! ", Grian stretched his wings a bit. 

" yep! the potato cream soup was surprisingly good. I feel like Mumbo would love it if he ever came here. ". 

Dream gave a little cough as sign that he wants to say something. 

" Well gentlemen, I think it's time we rest for the night, so are we going to meet up at the fountain at 6:30? ''''yep! " Grian answered Dream. 

Dream clapped his hands like he wants the conversation to end here, "okay then, let us part ways for now, goodnight friends" Dream said pulling Techno along. 

"goodnight! " they heard Scar yell, Grian giving Scar a slight nudge to remind him that they are in public.

Techno laid on the bed thinking back on what happened, his thoughts mixing into a mess of emotions. 

He just hopes that this trip will still go smoothly, well as smooth as it can be due to Dream always somehow piling more problems onto him. 

he sighed and closed his eyes, trying to sleep. 

Yet, he still has the uncanny energy from those two, he'll keep his eyes open near them and make sure they won't be an obstacle. 

all obstacles must be erased.
