A young girl - about sixteen - appeared to be towering over a city, new to her. She scanned the place, but nothing seemed to be off about the place. It seemed like just another ordinary city. "Is this really the place?" she asked allowed, seemingly to nobody.

Yes, Rachel's voice echoed in her mind. We need to be here.

"But why?"

Stop asking that, Michelle butted in. We already told you. We don't know. We just have to be here.

Evie sighed. "I know. It's just weird that you guys wanted me to go to Karakura Town without much of an explanation as to why."

I'm sorry, said the polite Rachel, genuinely feeling bad.

Don't apologize, said the ruder Michelle. There's no need to.

Yes, but-

"Stop it you two," Evie interrupted their argument before it could get worse. "I know you're not used to working together, but can you try to get along better?"

She got no answer, even from Michelle.

"Let's go," she said. Then Evie jumped down, 20 stories high, and landed softly on her feet. She went searching for a place to sleep, at least for tonight. It was too late in the night for her to bother renting a hotel or some sort, even if she could afford it. She had been too busy earlier that day to look for one until now.

Finally, she found a decent home, one that was searching for occupants to take resident inside. Figuring she could stay - at least for one night - Evie crept inside, and went straight to the master bedroom. As to be expected, it was bare, so she lied on the ground, hoping to get some sleep.

As she lied there, staring up at the ceiling, her mind swirled with the same question:

Why did the Eyes want me here?
