Evie's Point of View

We were all hanging out in Ichigo's room. Oh, and by we, I meant Chad, Orhime, Uryu, Renji, Ichigo, Rukia and me. School had ended and we decided to talk about Yajimaru.

Just after Yajimaru left, we wanted to discuss him and my encounter, but we didn't have time. He may be our enemy, but he's still our teacher. We had rushed back to class and for some reason we beat him there. Somehow, all the scratches I gave him disappeared too. Orhime offered to heal my cut but I declined saying it wasn't that big of a deal.

I looked at my friends. Ichigo was sitting on the chair by his desk. Me and Orhime were sitting on his bed. Rukia was sitting in Ichigo's closest (for some reason she insisted to sit there), and Uryu, Chad and Renji were standing against the wall across from him. I had just finished telling everyone about the fight I had with Yajimaru and the conversation that went along with it. I even added the Alchemy that he used to destroy his sword and that was what he used to create it in the first place.

"What could Yajimaru really want?" Ichigo asked out loud.

I shrugged my shoulders. "Judging by his actions, I would say that he definitely wants to become a perfect being. The thing is, I feel like there's more to it."

We were silent again. I was starting to think maybe we should've discussed this at Kisuke's. He's really smart and could help us figure things out.

"Rukia, Renji," Uryu's sudden voice interrupted our thoughts. "Was Yajimaru the spirit energy that the Department of Research and Development was picking up?"

Rukia nodded. "It is. We managed to collect some of his Reishi and it matched perfectly. I had just sent in a report and added the explanation of a half-being that Evie gave us. Right now, we're waiting for any further orders."

"How long have you known Yajimaru, Evie?" Orhime asked.

"Not very long," I answered. "I didn't even know about his Alchemy until today." I started fingering with the bandage on my cheek. He had said an eye for an eye. If he really wanted the Eyes, what did he plan on giving me in return?

A sudden beeping noise went off. I looked up and saw that Rukia was pulling out a cell phone-looking thing. I watched her scan the message she received.

"What does it say?" Orhime asked the question we were all thinking.

"It says that we have to stay in the World of the Living. They want us to keep an eye on the half-being, and make sure he doesn't cause anymore problems. They'll let us know when we should return to the Soul Society." Rukia put her phone away.

"I guess we should've followed Yajimaru after school," Renji said.

"I told you," I muttered under my breath.

He snapped his head in my direction. "Did you say something?"

"No. I didn't say anything."

Uryu readjusted his glasses. "That wouldn't have worked very well. We don't know where he lives and he could easily disappear like he did earlier. I'm not sure what that was that he did. My best guess is that he teleported somehow."

Silence fell over the room again. I knew Yajimaru the best out of all of us, and I still don't know very much about him.

My mind wandered off to all the times he was smirking. The one that stood out the most was when Ichigo offered to take me to the bathroom on the first day of school. Why did Yajimaru react that way? Unless if he wanted us to meet...

Rukia's phone-thing beeped again, but this time my hand started glowing and Ichigo's combat pass went off. I changed into my Hollow Hunter suit, Ichigo left his body and Rukia and Renji used some sort of pill (I think they called it Gekongai) and left their gigai. Ichigo opened his window and flew out, with me, Renji and Rukia following him.

"Uh, why are we all going?" I asked. On the ground, Orhime, Chad and Uryu were running after us.

"I don't think it's a good idea to leave you alone," Ichigo answered. "I'm not doubting your abilities, but last time you confronted a hollow by yourself, you were attacked by Yajimaru." He glanced at everyone else. "I guess we all came to that same conclusion."

I nodded, seeing their side of the story. I just wish that I didn't have to have an entire entourage. I did have the fight against Yajimaru under control.

Master, Rachel said. You need to calm down. Don't think of it as an entourage. Think of it as a precaution. Remember, we don't know the true goal of Yajimaru.

Yeah, Michelle said quieter. That was strange. What she said.

"Are you alright, Michelle?" Me and Rachel asked at the same time.

Hmmm? She murmured. Yeah, I'm fine.

We were silent about that. Michelle had a tendency of being rude and rushing into things. Why was she being quiet all of a sudden?

When we got to the hollow, it was finished off quickly. With this many people fighting it, I wasn't really surprised.

"I think I'm going to head back to Kisuke's now," I said. I had told everyone a month ago that if they needed me, I would be staying at Kisuke's.

"I'll come with you," Renji said. "I normally stay with Kisuke when I'm here. I just need to get my gigai."

"I'm going to head back home," Uryu said.

"I need to get to work now," Orhime replied.

"Hmmm," Chad hummed.

Me, Rukia, Ichigo and Renji headed back to Ichigo's room. Ichigo went back into his body and Rukia and Renji went back into their gigai while I changed out of my suit.

"Where will you be staying Rukia?" I asked her.

She had a smile creep up on her face while she turned to Ichigo. "Oh no," he muttered. Apparently, he knew where she was staying. We all walked downstairs. As me and Renji walked out the door, I heard Rukia make up a sad story on something about her parents being in trouble and she needed a place to stay. I smiled. Even though I still don't know the reason why, I was glad that the Eyes sent me here.
