Rukia's Point of View

"Is my brother and Captain alright?" I asked Lieutenant Kotestsu as she walked out of their shared room.

She nodded. "They are for now, but the memory blocks on their minds are still present. Currently, Captain Unohana is working on removing it from Captain Kuchiki, so you will not be able to visit them."

"Thank you, Lieutenant," I bowed my head. It had been three days, and the two haven't been out of the squad 4 barracks since they got in.

I stepped outside. I took a deep breath in and let it out slowly. I was worried about Captain Ukitake and my brother. The half-being was still the prime suspect in this problem. Unfortunately, Captain Hitsugaya hasn't reported anything yet. When we tried sending him a message, all signals were blocked.

I looked up when Renji appeared next to me. "Are the Captains going to leave soon?" he asked.

I shook my head. "I have no idea. Lieutenant Kotetsu said that they were all right, but the mind blocks are still there. Captain Unohana is working on removing it. Has Captain Kurotsuchi made any progress?"

After Captain Hitsugaya left to the World of the Living, we were supposed to follow him after filing any reports for anything I missed when I reported in with my soul pager. When we got into the Senkaimon, everything was normal until we stepped out into the Soul Society. Since then, Captain Kurotsuchi and his squad has been in and out, trying to figure out how we got locked in, and how we're going to get through. All of the soul reapers has been worried about the World of the Living because we're all certain that hollow attacks has become more frequent across the world without soul reapers exorcising them. "No, Captain Kurotsuchi hasn't been having any luck. He's just as clueless with this as the rest of us." Renji looked at me through the corner of his eye. "Don't tell him I said that."

"Is Captain Kurotsuchi eager to get to the World of the Living?" I asked. That answer didn't really need to be answered.

"Yes," Renji did anyways. "He can't wait to come across any half-beings."

We were silent, thinking about everything. Why would Yajimaru lock us in here? Was he worried that we were going to protect Evie? If that's the case, shouldn't he have tried to get Ichigo here too, since he's always the one protecting his friends? What if he wants Ichigo in the World of the Living?

I almost threw my hands in the air, the questions frustrating me.

"I better head back to my barracks," I said. "I should try to fill some of the paperwork."

Renji nodded. "Alright. I should probably do the same."

We flash stepped to our barracks. When I sat down to start, I stared into nothing, the never ending questions swarming in my mind.

Sorry, that was a short chapter and nothing exciting happened, but I was stuck. I went through a lot of writer blocks, just trying to get this one done. I wanted to report what was going on in the Soul Society.

The next chapter, I'll try to make it longer. Thanks everyone for reading this far in my story. Feel free to
