Jongkook's POV

After the short visit to my parent's house, I head back to my own house and sat on the couch, preparing myself to have a conversation with the producer of 'My Little Old Boy'.

I called the producer as soon as I sat down. "Hello?" A voice rang through my phone.

"Hey, it's me. Jongkook," I greeted politely. "Oh, Jongkook! What a surprise to hear from you. What's going on?" He asked.

I cleared my throat before answering him. "I've heard some news from my mother regarding a certain guest?" I carefully brought it up.

"For next week? It's Han Hyejin. I thought you knew about it?" He sounded confused.

"I mean, yes. I knew next week's guest but how about next next week?" I emphasised on the second 'next'.

He kept quiet for awhile and I just waited for an answer. I suddenly heard a small gasp from the phone.

"Oh god, yes. I've been meaning to tell you about it. It's Jeon Somin-ssi. I'm inviting Somin-ssi but-" I cut him off. "I'll have to attend to the shooting too, then?"

"Well yes but we haven't heard an answer yet so we'll have to wait. It's not confirmed," He continued.

"I see. And if she accepts the invitation, would I have to be sitting beside her and watch my own videos?" I questioned as it might feel awkward for me.

"Oh no, don't worry. You're going to be behind the cameras. I mean, since you're her guide, I feel like you can give her some solace by giving her support. I bet she is not familiar with any of the cast, including the moms' and the hosts, right?" Producer-nim explained.

I let out a sigh and wet my lips with hesitation to answer. "So, if she accepts your invitation, it'll be all set then?" I asked one last time.

"Yes," He replied. And then, that was it for me.

"Alright. Good to know, sorry for disturbing you. Have a good day ahead then," I said my goodbye and hung up as soon as he said his goodbye.

Time to make Somin reject the invitation. It's a win-win situation anyway, right? Who wants to be supervised by a grown man? Not her. Who wants to supervise a grown woman? Not me either.

Somin's POV

My thoughts for the past week was filled with 'My Little Old Boy'. It was Monday, meaning a new episode for Running Man. It's the second week as a member of Running Man for Sechan and I.

The feeling of excitement rushed through my veins. I've been texting every member of Running Man, from time to time, for advice. And yes, including Jongkook sunbae.

Although he replied with short sentences or just one word, I still appreciated his responses instead of just reading my message and not replying.

I wondered if he knew that I was invited to 'My Little Old Boy'. Either way, I was still not sure if I wanted to go on the show. If it was to promote my new drama, yes. But to have Jongkook sunbae supervising me like a child? No.

I already have a manager so what was the point if Jongkook sunbae just sat there and watched me? That's not even guiding. It'd be so embarrassing for him too, since his mother would be there.

I grunted to my thoughts. I was walking to the set after my stylist finished prepping me up. A few members were already chatting among themselves as the staffs prepared the cameras and microphones.

With a light heart, I quickened my pace and stood beside Jaeseok sunbae. I was looking forward for today's activities and today's guests.

Narrator's POV

The atmosphere was light and cheerful as it should be while the guests had their fun too. There was nothing better than regular guests like Kang Hanna and Sangyeob.

"Sangyeob hyung! What are you even doing?" Kwangsoo complained as he saw Sangyeob lying down on the floor, playing dead.

"I can't do this anymore, Kwangsoo-ya. You figure that out on your own. My head hurts," Sangyeob dreadfully groaned and waved him off.

"Are you out of your mind, Sangyeob-ssi? You know we can't let Kwangsoo oppa to do it on his own," Somin added.

Kwangsoo scoffed and placed his hands on his hips with a stance like an angry mother. "What did you just say, Somin? You think I'm not capable to do it on my own? Come here, you brat," Kwangsoo reached out to her playfully as Somin ran away.

"I can't focus while you youngsters do this stuff. I swear to god, just be quiet for a minute for the sake of us," Jaeseok voiced out, acting annoyed with the three of them while Hanna, Sechan and Sukjin in his team figure out the missing puzzle.

Somin smiled. She was happy at the moment as Kwangsoo has gotten closer to Sechan and her for the past few weeks. They were already on casual terms. Actually, she was on casual terms with almost every member already.

'Almost' means everyone except her own guide. Jongkook glanced at the situation, seeing Kwangsoo playing around with her like a brother while Sangyeob is scolding them. Deep down, he knew he was envious. The way she seemed so comfortable with others and not with him.

After the small argument with her last week, they still were distant in real life, even when Jongkook had already apologised. Days after days, he was beginning to think that he was the problem and it clearly was. He just couldn't let his ego disappear.

"Focus, Jongkook hyung," Haha called out and snapped his fingers infront of Jongkook's face, who was staring at Somin, Kwangsoo and Sangyeob.

"Now that you see she's having fun without you, you seem pretty mad," Haha pointed it out and smirked. Jongkook only shot him a glare.

"You always do this, oppa. Regretting your actions when you could've avoided them," Jihyo tsk-ed and shooked her head as her hands were busy with the puzzles.

"So, I'm the bad guy now?" Jongkook shamelessly asked. "No one said you were a bad guy, hyung. But we do know that Somin is a good lady, who wants a comfortable guide who's nice," Haha sarcastically remarked.

Jihyo nodded, agreeing with his words. Jongkook just kept quiet, letting his words fill his head.

"Alright! The time is up. The team that gets most numbers from the puzzles gets an exclusive hint on who the ghost is," The producer announced.

The shooting then went on like that with Somin having fun and Jongkook having the confusing time of his life yet.
