Chapter 8

Norman went over to Ray to check why he sounds and smells upset.

"What's wrong Ray?" Norman asked.

Ray sighed. "Its nothing."

Norman peeked through the curtains. He saw three men standing and chatting with each other. One man looked at his watch and tapped his foot, looking annoyed.

Norman closed the curtain. "Why don't you go outside and be a good colleague? Are you colleagues?" Norman asked a bit unsure of his answer.

Ray sighed. He can't disagree with what Norman said. He sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Fine. I'll go and talk to them. Be right back." Ray said as he opened the door and went outside.

Norman watched them by peeking through the curtains.

Ray scowled when he went out to meet them. "What do you guys want? What part of don't come to my house don't you guys understand?"

"We just wanted to see you Ray. Also, because we came here to invite you to come party with us on Saturday. Lord Alfonso of the Ventus kingdom and his wife are celebrating their anniversary."

Ray arched an eyebrow. "This Saturday?'

"Yup! This Saturday. Wanna go?" He asked.

"No. I don't want to go, William. I've got plans on that day. And on the following days and dates." Ray said nonchalantly.

'Well. More likely, I just want to spend the weekend with my family, that's all. I don't want to hang out with you guys.' Ray thought.

"Eh! Come on! You rarely come and hang out with us." William whined.

Ray sighed.

"Papa."

Ray flinched and looked down, he saw Liam! He looked back in the house and Norman gasped.

"Ah! Liam got out! Sorry, Ray." Norman said, but they weren't heard outside.

"Eh? Is that your kid, Ray?" William asked.

"Wait! You really are married and now you have a kid?!" A guy named, Kenneth said.

Ray sighed. 'The cat's out of the bag.' He thought.

He kneeled down and carried Liam. "Yup. I really am married as what I always tell you guys. And yes, I already have a kid, 5 kids to be exact." Ray said.

They were in utter shock, Ray took the opportunity to show all of his kids off.

"Liam, say hello." Ray said.

Liam shyly hid his face into Ray's neck, he peeked a little and waved. "Hello. I'm Liam. Nice to meet you all." Liam shyly said.

Ray called the rest of his kids to come out and greet his colleagues.

"Wow! Your kids are cute. Say, where's your wife? Where is she?" Kenneth asked.

"Mommy is not a she, he's a man!" Amelia pouted.

"Ah! Sorry. W-where is he then?" Kenneth corrected.

Amelia and the rest gave him a satisfied smile.

"Well. He's inside with my youngest. Apparently, he's shy to come and meet you all." Ray said.

"Okay. Anyways, consider that invitation we told you. If you want, you can bring your mate along with you so that we can meet him. Well then, bye!" William said and they all went into their respective cars and left.

They all went back inside. Ray looked around the room for Norman, but he can't be seen.

"Miss Evie. Where's Norman?" Ray asked.
