The light in the dark. {The Promised Neverland-Ray x Norman}

Chapter 7

3 months have passed and Norman is sitting in the living room reading a book.

He was waiting for Ray to come back from work.

He yawned as he put the book down beside him. He felt the twins move and kick inside.

He smiled at them as he caressed his stomach. "You two are excited for Daddy to return, huh? Don't worry, he'll be home soon." Norman smiled.

He reached over the table to get the remote and turned the TV on for the news.

A bit later, Ray got home. "Norman! I'm back." Ray shouted with a smile.

Norman looked up and smiled. "Hi. Welcome back."

Ray let Miss Irene take his jacket and walked over to Norman. He nuzzled his nose onto Norman's cheek and gave him a kiss.

"How are you?" Ray asked as he sat down beside him.

"Fine. The twins are being very fussy." Norman groaned as he felt them kick.

Ray smiled as he caressed Norman's stomach. "Hey. You know, you two are hurting your Mom." Ray said as he placed his head on top of Norman's stomach.

"I've been going to the bathroom more frequently. And its tiring." Norman groaned as he leaned his head on the couch.

Ray sat up and kissed Norman on the temple. "Its okay. If you need anything, I'm right beside you." Ray smiled.

Norman hummed and he hissed in pain which Ray look down on Norman.

Norman gasped. "Ray. There's blood." Norman said as he was on the brink of tears.

"Ray. What happened? What do we do? Ack! It hurts!" Norman groaned and hissed in pain.

Ray was panicking on the inside. The only thing that clicked in his brain was to grab Norman's bag and his car keys, then drive to the hospital.

And that's what Ray did. He flew ip to their room, grabbed Norman's bag, flew back down and gently carried Norman. He didn't bother on grabbing the car keys, he put on his shoes, and flew to the hospital instead.

Once he arrived there, he took Norman to the emergency room and he was immediately taken to have and emergency c-section.

The only thing Ray could do was calm Norman down and was taken into the surgery room.

Ray contacted James telling him that Norman is in labour and is having an emergency c-section.

After he called him. He sat in the waiting room waiting and hoping that Norman and his kids will be fine.

James and the rest finally arrived in the hospital.

They all waited patiently in the waiting area. 2 hours later, Norman's doctor came out and her face is plastered with fear.

"The mother and the babies are in danger. Which one should we save? The mother or the children. Please decide immediately!" She said with urgency in her voice.

"The mother. Save the mother." James and Miranda said.

"What?! No! Save the twins! Big brother will be heartbroken knowing that the twins that he's been carrying are dead!" Anna protested.

"Your majesties! The father gets to decide." The doctor said.

Ray sighed. "Both. Just do anything and save them. Please." Ray said with desperation in his voice.

The doctor nodded. "Of course. We'll do the best we can. If you'll excuse me." She said and she went back to the surgery room.

Another two hours have passed and the doctor came out of the door and smiled.
