Chapter 9

They were both shocked when they saw the house in a terrible state.

They both went pale when they saw the mess.

The walls are cracked, some of the furnitures were tipped over, broken glasses littered the floor, and the flowers that Norman always puts in the vase, now broken, are scattered on the floor.

Norman saw Anna lying down on the floor. Norman rushed to her side and checked to see if she was okay.

"Anna! Anna!" Norman shouted and he shook her.

Ray ran upstairs to check on the kids.

Anna groaned in pain and opened her eyes. She squinted. "Big...brother? I'm sorry." Anna sobbed.

Norman slowly made her sit up. "What are you saying sorry for? Wait! The kids!"

Ray ran down and shook his head. "They're not here." Ray said as he pulled out his phone and dialed 911.

Norman's eyes went wide with shock.

"Anna. What happened?" Norman asked.

"I don't know. The last thing I remembered was when we all went to bed, then I heard ruckus downstairs. I went out of the room where I was staying and saw that there were at least eight people.

We fought them along as hard as we could, but failed. When they knocked me to the ground, four of them went upstairs and took the kids. I gathered all the remaining strength I had and I managed to snatch one of them from their clutches.

They hit me hard again on the head making me fall to the ground, they tried to get Lucas away by kicking me or punching me, but I didn't budge. They gave up and left with the others. The maids and butler also were taken away. I'm sorry big bro. I failed to protect them." Anna sobbed.

Norman held Anna close. "Its okay. You did your best. Wait! Then where's Lucas?"

Anna mumbled a spell and there Lucas' crib appeared and Ray ran up to it he saw Lucas fast asleep and carried.

Ray breathed a sigh of relief, "He's okay. I see no injuries. He's okay." Ray said as he held him close.

Norman breathed a sigh of relief as well. "I'm glad. Rest now Anna. You did great." Norman smiled as he laid Anna down on the ground.

Anna grinned. "Thanks! I did my best to grab the rest, but failed." Anna sighed. She flinched and clutched her side.

"Its okay. As Norman said, you did your best and we thank you for it." Ray said as he rubbed Lucas' back.

Soon, police and an ambulance arrived to treat Anna's injuries and checked on Lucas. Once they saw that Lucas is okay and Anna has been sent back to the Lux kingdom to be treated, Ray and Norman followed the ambulance back to the Lux kingdom.

When they arrived, Norman told his parents everything that had happened.

James immediately assembled a search team and rescue team for his grandkids and for the household workers.

Norman is in his room, fiddling with the hem of his shirt. He's feeling restless, he wants to go and find them now! But how?!

Ray went in the room holding two mugs of tea in his hands. He handed one mug to Norman.

"Here. Drink this. It might make you feel better." Ray said.

Norman took the mug and sipped from it. "Thanks. But, I don't feel any better." Norman sighed sadly.

Ray hugged Norman. "Its okay. They'll fine them soon." Ray said sweetly and he kissed Norman on the cheek.

"I just hope that Emma doesn't find our about this. If she finds out, she'll report this to Mama." Ray said as he sipped from his mug.
