Lauren's POV
"Stop procrastinating, you bitch."
I look at Dinah with a emotionless gaze.
"I'm not!" I whip back, then scrolling to the next TikTok video.
"IT SMELLS LIKE A PUBLIC RESTROOM"
I watch the TikTok another 3 times, letting out an ungodly laugh.
The Polynesian queen stood up, and yanked the phone out of my hand, along with my ability to fight her back. She won.
"FINE!" I sigh out aloud, then return back to my desk that piled with books, an organised chaos in my head, but an utter disgrace to the clean Dinah-Jane.
"You literally have such an important day tomorrow and you are sitting here on TikTok. Get your head outta your ass Jauregui."
I 'tsk' in response, knowing that she was right. She was always right, do not mess with The Dinah-Jane.
"You know, once I'm a registered criminal psychologist, I'll diagnose you with bitch-ass-syndrome" I look over my shoulder, and stare at the selfie god, at it once again.
"Whatever, you love me."
I chuckle, yes I did. She was my best friend, ever since college started and we were roommates. This was both our last year in college, set to take off our careers soon.
I, a psychology major, hope to work one day in the criminal-psychology field. Dinah, she was a sociology major, and absolutely dominating the social media industry with her instagram account of over 1.9 million followers. She was growing her following by the minute, soon I wouldn't be surprised if she showed up on some model runway show. She was drop dead gorgeous.
I look down at my desk that spat papers in every direction. I rummaged through my notes to find something that intrigued me.
I fix my glasses and push the the strands of raven hair clouding my vision, and focus on the anatomy of the brain.
I knew I'd ace the exam tomorrow, I always dominate in this class anyway, people wish they had my mind.
"Dinah, if you could only see how complicated the brain actually is, it's fascinating isn't it?" I hold up the brain picture I sketched out, wondering if anyone else questioned the same things I did.
"Yeah brains are cool. I'm picked one up on sale yesterday, $4.99, can you believe that? What a steal!"
"You idiot" I laugh. Dinah knew how to not take life seriously, and I loved that about her. She was so easy to be around, sometimes. When she's not snatching my phone off me.
"Can I have my phone back?" I ask with my puppy eyes, looking up to her through my glasses.
"No. Study"
"You're not my mother Dinah, now give me my phone back." Now with vicious eyes.
She made it hard for me to grasp my phone, I leaned over her and her long arms stretch out further, making it impossible to get.
"Give it now!" I say, with half my body practically on her. I start to tickle her underarm, instantly snatching my phone as her arm retreated.
"HA! Got it." I smile, jumping off her, then opening up TikTok.
It was a small dorm room, and we practically lived side by side, only feet away from each other everyday. She had one half, a clean and organised half, yet mine looked like a nerd's paradise. Books, books and books. There was nothing else really, only a bed and desk to hold them all.
