ALL THE LIGHT THAT WE COULD NOT SEE

It felt surreal
To finally be free,
to finally be at peace
With the rhythm that
laid within my soul,

It felt liberating
to see the light
from the waves
that were deeply sunken
from before,

It felt unshackling to
see the deep waters
that welled in my eyes,
to dry.

She was dead and reborn again,
like the cut leaves of the autumn
into the woman she is today,
her strength
fuelled by pain and trauma
and all the messiness that laid there
before,

she is
everything
she did not
bare to look,
the strength,
the humility,
the uncovered beauty,
the unrefined masterpiece,
the paradox personified,

She will find her spark again,
her enigma to shine brightly,
like the glimmer of the stars of
the dark night skies,
and all the light,
that she could not see.

Author's note;
This poem that entails the transition from early childhood to an adult. As I grew older, the things that used to matter to me, didn't anymore and the comparison that came along with it.

For anyone going through trial or tribulation, know that you are not alone and that there is all the light that we could not see. :)
