Chapter 17 –

     I awoke to my phone beeping loudly. I groaned and rolled over ignoring it, it carried on beeping. I shoved my hand under the pillow and checked the caller ID. Luke. I groaned again but answered it.

“What?”

“That’s not a nice way to talk to your boyfriend.” I flinched at the word boyfriend. I still couldn’t understand why he was calling me on a Saturday. I checked my clock. At seven in the morning.

“Well, you are not having any special treatment as this is how I am at seven in the morning Luke. Now what do you want?” I sighed and rolled onto my back closing my eyes.

“I will pick you up seven tonight.”

“Why?”

“Because we are going to Jenna’s party silly. We have to go together, as we are a couple.” I ground my teeth.

“Whatever you say Luke.”

“Good, and wear something nice and short for me.” I was about to tell him where the sun don’t shine, but then I thought about Kyle. I sighed again.

“Fine Luke, see you later.” I hung up and thought about Kyle. He was supposed to be coming home today. I really wanted to talk to him about Luke and what I was gonna do, but I was scared Luke would find out and kill him. I groaned and sat up looking at my reflection in the mirror. I couldn’t go to Lucy as she was still in hospital and I had issues with her. I couldn’t see Matt either as he was with Lucy and she would know about it. I was frustrated, there was only one person who I could talk to without getting caught, and that person was Raven. I climbed out of bed and got dressed not knowing what I was doing.  I texted her telling her to meet me at star bucks in ten minutes. I knew she would get the message knowing that she had powers to see the future. I needed a game plan on how I was gonna bust Luke’s ass and Raven was the only one who could do that. Then Kyle and I could go back to how we were before we were rudely interrupted. I went down stairs thick with sleep and almost bumped into my mum.

“Where are you going?” She asked. I sighed, she had been funny with me since she found out that Kyle and I weren’t together any more, but that didn’t stop her from making sure that he still lived here. Great.

“I’m going out.” I said trying not to show my irritation and lack of sleep.

“Where?” She demanded getting more and more inpatient.

“To see Raven my friend. Can I go now?” I moaned heading towards the door, but mom pulled on my wrist making me face her again.

“When are you going to talk to Kyle again?” I could see in her eyes that she wanted me to get back with Kyle and I really wanted to tell her that I wanted to even though I couldn’t. I sighed as tears filled my eyes and yanked my wrist out her grip a little harder than planned.

“I don’t know mom. I will see you later.” I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and headed out the door and down the street shoving my hands deep in my pockets in self pity.
