Chapter 23 –

We found our seats at the ceremony next to Lucy and Matt who had their hands linked. I smiled and sat down next in between Lucy and Kyle.

“How ya doing?” Lucy asked gently.

“Great.” I said beaming at her. She seemed confused.

“Luc, Joanne and Raven came to me in my dream last night and I said final goodbye and now I feel good because I now know that I’m not responsible for Raven’s death or Joanne’s.” Matt and Lucy were staring at me like I was loopy and Kyle laughed.

“They came to you?” Matt stuttered.

“Yeah. I t was weird but it was good weird. I got to say goodbye and that was all I wanted.” They nodded and then smiled.

“We are just glad that you are okay.” Matt said grinning. I grinned back.

“Yeah I’m gonna be okay.” Kyle bent down and nibbled my ear and I giggled. He put his arms around me and kissed me passionately. I kissed back until Matt cleared his throat. I looked at him flushed.

“Ana they blame us.” He chuckled to Lucy who laughed and kissed him. I laughed.

“And they blame us.” I quoted to Kyle and we all erupted into laughter. I then noticed Matt grinning at Kyle and then at me.

“What?” I asked.

“Nothing. You will find out soon enough.” She beamed and Lucy smacked his arm.

”Matt!” She hissed and he shut up.

“What have I missed?” I said confused.

“Nothing, Matt is just being stupid.” Kyle said smoothly. I nodded and looked at the front as the ceremony had just started. The headmaster spoke for a long time saying that he was glad that he gotten to know us and watch us grow. He also spoke about that this was the beginning for us. I totally agreed with him silently and glanced at Kyle who was giving Matt the evils. Matt looked sorry and I wondered what they were on about. Soon they were giving us the certificate and we all went one by one to collect them and shake the headmaster’s hand. Once we all had ours, the headmaster said a few last words and then everyone cheered. We had graduated! I jumped up and down with Lucy squealing like little girls. I hugged her and we carried on jumping up and down until Kyle wrapped his arms around my waist.

“Congratulations.” He muttered in my ear. I turned around and jumped into his arms. He laughed.

“Congratulations!” I shouted. He put me down and I went and hugged Matt!

”Congrats Ava!” He shouted.

“Same to you Matt.” I beamed and I hadn’t felt so happy in a long time. It felt as if I were floating. Suddenly Lucy and Kyle were standing beside me, and Lucy was grinning like an idiot.

“Come with me.” Kyle said taking my hand.

“Where are we going?” I asked confused.

“It’s a surprise.” Kyle grinned and I followed willingly. I was curious to see what the massive surprise was. We got the fountain in the middle of the grass area. I saw that my mother was waiting there too. She was also grinning like a buffoon and she was crying. I ran to her.
