Chapter 15 -      

      "Ava? Ava, wake up love." I didn't want to wake up I was dreaming happily of me and Lucy and how we would shop at the mall, but Kyle was calling me and was ruining the dream. I stirred and I felt Kyle's hand tracing lines on my back. I then opened my eyes unwillingly and the dream was gone.

"What?" I asked annoyed.

"Don't you want to get ready for school?" School? Lucy was gonna be there today and we weren't friends. I didn't want to go at all; I pulled the quilt cover back over my head and moaned. Kyle pulled the quilt cover back off me and I shivered at the draft.

"Come on, it will be ok. I will be there with you for the whole time." He had a point so I groaned and got out of bed. He left while I changed and I went down to the kitchen, I grabbed a piece of toast and headed out the door dodging mom's convosation. I met Kyle at his shiny car; he took my hand until I looked at him.

"It's gonna be ok." He gripped my hand tighter for a moment then released it. I took a deep breath and nodded.

We arrived at school and he parked in a free space, I looked over and saw Lucy's car in her usual space. I took another deep breath and got out the car; I met Kyle at the front and took his hand. He squeezed my hand as we walked past Lucy's car. Then I saw Matt coming towards us.

"Hey guys." He sounded down and upset.

"Hey Matt...what's up?" I asked warily as I wasn't sure whose side he was on.

"No." He replied sharply, I looked up at Kyle who seemed as confused as me.

"What's up man?" Kyle asked.

"Lucy, who else?" Lucy? What would be wrong between them?

"But I thought you guys were together." I wondered aloud.

"What happened?" Kyle demanded.

"Jenna. That's what happened." He sounded really pissed.

"Jenna?" Kyle and I asked in unison.

"If that bitch has hurt her, I swear to god that I-"

"Jenna and Lucy are best friends." Matt interrupted and I fell into silence.

"No, that can't be. Why would Lucy do that?" Kyle muttered echoing my thoughts.

"Well she did it, ad she has ditched me as I stuck up for you guys. Ava what is going on?" Matt looked so helpless.

"I don't know but I will find out." I growled letting go of Kyle's hand. She could blow me off but not Matt. There was no way she about to throw him away like that, it was wrong and he deserved better. I looked around and spotted Lucy with Jenna laughing. I held my head high and walked over to her and they stopped laughing at my approach.

"What do you want bird face?" Jenna sniggered; it took everything I had not to hit her.

"Hey Luc, can I talk to you for a minute, it's important." Lucy just rolled her eyes.

"Yeah sure whatever." I led her behind the garage then ripped into her.

"What the hell are you playing at Lucy? I thought you hated Jenna?" I yelled, she shrugged.
