Brown had never been an appealing color to Tim before. 

He'd heard of the color, of course, and nobody could really say anything appealing about it. 

Whenever he asked, it was always "Brown is such a boring color."

"The color of shit. Of mud. You're lucky you don't have to see brown."

"That's so common. You could've gotten a unique color and instead you got brown. Your life must suck. You should be glad you haven't met your soulmate yet."

Tim didn't understand it. Brown, ugly? 

He didn't know how to feel.

He knew those people were wrong after he met her. 

Brown was beautiful. 

Brown the color of the Earth, of warmth.  

Brown eyes were the pools of comfort you craved after a day full of anxiety and stress.

And she was brown in every way. 

And he loved her for it.
