Tim thought he lived a pretty normal life. Wake up, get coffee, go to work, go home, sleep, repeat.
And, okay, sure, maybe it wasn't normal to be a ceo at the age of 18; or to be best friends with Black Bat (basically siblings). And fine, maybe his soulmate tattoo is weird as hell and makes absolutely no sense, he'll give you that one, but still.
He liked his job, he liked his best friend, and he loves his weird-as-hell tattoo.
"Through the Window" might be weird, but it's also awesome, because he couldn't possibly ever meet someone other than his soulmate that would say those words. So, lucky him. No mistaking who his soulmate would be.
Especially since nobody could fake it, since they don't know what his tattoo is. Tim had done quite well with keeping his tattoo from the public eye, he thinks. Thus far, nobody had come forward claiming to be his soulmate with the right words, most of them choosing generic terms and phrases like "Hello" and "How can I help you?" That type of thing.
He had to give kudos to the guy that had walked up with "Hey, What's up, sexy?" because that was one Tim had never seen before, so brownie points for uniqueness.
Despite that uniqueness, Tim knew there would never be any occasion where he would respond to or cause the answer of "Through the Window" with anything generic. He had run the statistics. It just wasn't possible.
Which is why, when he walked into his office and saw a blonde girl sitting his desk, ripping off her stained shirt sleeve with her teeth, he wasn't really that surprised. He just knew, somehow, that she was his soulmate. And, of course, only he would meet the love of his life through such odd circumstances.
"How did you get in here?" He gasped out, taking in the situation with wide eyes.
"Through the window." his soulmate chirped, grinning at him mischievously, as if this was an ordinary thing to happen. She had a needle in her hand now, beginning to stitch up her arm.
Maybe it was ordinary for her. Who was Tim to know?
"You-" Tim paused glancing at the window next to his desk, taking in the fact that it's open with little to no shock. "You broke in? Through the window?"
"That's what I said. Ain't it also written on that little wrist of yours?"
"Through the window?" he asked again.
"Yes."
"My office is on the 8th floor!" He exclaimed, waving his arms around in a flurry.
She looked at him dead in the eye. "Stellar observation."
Tim went quiet, sending the room into a silence that somehow wasn't awkward.
Finally, he spoke up. "Cass has strange friends."
His soulmate looked positively gleeful at his words, green eyes glinting as she hopped off his desk, cut now closed.
"And proud. I'm Steph, nice to meet ya." she held out a gloved hand to shake.
Tim grinned, shaking her hand. "Tim. Want to have dinner with me?"
"I'd love to."
