Chapter 24

(Oh my gosh! I feel like it's been forever since I gave you all an update. I'm so sorry it's been so long, but I tried to make this a long chapter to make up for it. Love you guys and all the support you give!"

Paige's P.O.V

Harry slides a bowl of cereal in front of me, along with a glass of juice.

During his vigorous shaking to wake me and the sleepy walk down the three flights of stairs I didn't realize he was wearing a slick black suit.

"Where are you going?" I ask him, shoving a spoonful of lucky charms in my mouth.

"I have a few business meetings, then I'm going to look at houses." He says.

"Why?" I ask curiously.

"Don't worry about it." He sighs.

"Uh, who else is going to be here while your gone." I ask.

He looks at me for a moment before speaking. "You are going to be here alone. Zayn shouldn't be home before I get back."

"How did you know that's what I was wondering about?" I become extremely immersed in my cereal.

"I'm not stupid." He laughs.

"Are you sure about that?" I giggle.

"I have to go love, but listen you need to go work on your school work as soon as you get done eating because you missed yesterday's work, and I told security not to let anyone in the gates, but if they call here and ask if they should let them in say no. I should be back by dinner." He explains.

"I got it. You tell me the same thing every time." I laugh.

"See you later, Liam and Niall will be back in like three hours." He kisses my cheek and struts his way out the door.

"Bye!" I call after him with a laugh.

He shouts one back before the door closes and the house is silent. I shove the last spoonful of cereal into my mouth before putting my bowl in the sink. I pad my feet across the hardwood floors and into the spacious living room. I pick up my laptop before sinking into the plush couch.

I log into my school website with a groan. I have so much work to do since I missed yesterday's assignments due to my hospital adventure.

My phone buzzes and I look at the screen. Harry.

Don't answer the phone if anyone calls, its probably press. There are a lot of stories of why you were at the hospital. Just don't say anything about it.

I send a simple reply before flipping over to safari. I type my name in the search bar and immediately tons of stories pop up. I click on the first one and it brings up a long article.

The One Direction member, Harry Styles, was seen with his fourteen year old adopted daughter, Paige Styles, at the hospital on Wednesday, December 18th. The rest of the 1D crew was their also, except Zayn. While they sported what seems to be pajamas, the crew walked out around ten o'clock. A witness tells us the boys arrived early that morning via ambulance. While we don't know what was wrong, we do know it was young daughter Paige Styles that was seeking treatment. She recently had an extended hospital stay in London. Since then she has been seen with an inhaler in her hands multiple times. We are not sure of what happened that morning, but we sure are happy to see our favorite boy band walking out healthy. One question though, WHERE IS ZAYN?!?!

I click through all the articles on my screen and read the many speculations. Most of them being so ridiculous I can't even bare it.

The vibrating in my hands coming from my iPhone pulls me into reality when I read the message. Of course, it's Harry, telling me to do my schoolwork as if he knows I'm not.
